This conference was held at the Orange County Fairgrounds.  It was all day and quite enlightening!

Numerous speakers encouraged us with different, biblical topics.  Since I drove there from San Diego, I missed the morning speakers.  However, most of them had the same message as they did in Colorado Springs, 2002.  If you'd like to see the notes from last year's conference, please click here.

Here are my notes from John Morris, Kirk Cameron, Ray Comfort, and Chuck Missler.  If you click their names, you will be taken to the part of this page that contains their message!

John Morris

Time is the enemy of evolution.

Time can't do miracles.

"Since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were since the beginning of creation."  Evolutionists fulfill this scripture because of their view of science and uniformity.

Concept of uniformity: everything has continued as it did since the beginning

As Christians, we live by the world view of supernaturalism, not naturalism.

Biological, geological, astronomical and atmospheric uniformity are all concepts of evolution.

The Bible says that God created each, basic category of living things after their kinds.

Horizontal variation: Yes

Vertical variation: No

Evolutionists claim that human back trouble is due to the "fact" that they used to walk on all fours.

Right now, ICR is cataloging the different kinds.

Camels and lamas are inter-fertile, therefore they were part of the original, created kind.

All of the examples of evolution are really just variations within the created kind.

Lions and tigers can interbreed.  They are called "ligers".

The more we understand the living genomes, the more we will understand they are distinct and created lifeforms and not related.

Noah didn't have to take two wolves, two dogs, two coyotes, etc.  He had to take two dogs and the wolves, dogs and coyotes we see came from these two dogs.

Naturalism won't be disregarded by unbelievers because the other alternative is supernaturalism.

Uniformity in geology equals billions of years.

In order to date a rock, evolutionists find a mineral (like uranium that changes into lead).  They will estimate how long it would take that much uranium to change into that much lead.  Only igneous rocks can be dated.  Igneous rocks used to be liquid.  They ask how long ago the liquid turned into a solid.

Evolutionary, geological assumptions about the past:

1) The rate of decay was the same and has remained constant

2) The rock been isolated from contamination

3) The rock showed a "year zero" value at the assumed beginning of the decay

Assumptions go into every dating method.

The Grand Canyon has 4 billion, 2 foot long fossils.  This shows a catastrophe in the fossil record and not slow and gradual change.

We live in a spiral galaxy (the Milky Way).  It is rotating.  According to evolutionists, it took 100 million years for a definite spiral to be formed.  In 300 million years, a spiral galaxy would look like ours.

Kirk Cameron

Two responses that he has seen a lot:

1. "I'm glad you found something that works for you, but I don't need Jesus."

2. People who went to church once or twice and even came forward at the altar call, but wouldn't continue going to church.

Here is a situation where Jesus witnessed to a person who ran up to Him and asked Him about eternal life.

Mark 10:17  "Why do you call me good?  There is no one who is good except God."

Jesus listed some of the commandments.  The man responded by saying he obeyed those things.  Next, Jesus told him to sell what he had and give it to the poor.  This made the man sad and he left.

Psalm 19:7 - "The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul."

"Someone has just paid a $25,000 speeding fine on your behalf."  This would sound like foolishness to someone.  In fact, it would be a little insulting because it would insinuate that they had broken the law in a very serious way.

By telling someone precisely what they had done wrong first, then the good news makes sense.  If they don't understand that they had broken the law, then the good news is offensive.  If they understand they have broken the law, first, then the good news truly is good news!

"The message of the cross is foolishness to those that are perishing."  If people don't understand that they are a sinner, then the gospel will be foolishness to them.

Romans 3:19 and 20 - "Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.  Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin."

1 John 3:4 - "Sin is transgression of the law."

Romans 7:7 - "I had not known sin except through the law."

Galatians 3:24 - "Therefore, the law was our schoolmaster, to bring us to Christ, that we may be justified by faith."

The law is just a mirror that shows us we are filthy and dirty, so we will go to Christ and be saved.

Unfortunately, modern evangelism has forgotten to use the law to convert the soul.  Modern evangelism has changed into the promise of life enhancement.  This is missing the message of the gospel and not converting people like the scriptures do.

Instead of telling people that Jesus will improve their flight, we should tell them that they will have to jump out of the plane.

If we are true and faithful witnesses, we will be telling people that there is wrath to come.

Acts 17:30 and 31 - "Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained.  He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead."

It's not legitimate to use the fruits of the spirit as "drawing cards" for people to come to Christ.  If people do not come to Christ knowing that they are sinful and in need of a Savior, then how will they be saved and continue following Christ?

Come to Jesus and seek forgiveness to rescue you from the wrath to come.  Don't come to Him only to improve your life.

Most Christians who come to Christ only to improve their lives leave Him when tribulations and persecutions arrive.

You can't preach about the cure (the gospel and salvation) without convincing people that they have the disease (sin and judgment).

1 Timothy 1:9 - ". . . the law is not made for the righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and the sinners . . ."

We can't just convince people to join the "God-club" and tell them it is cooler than MTV.

The woman at the well was a great example for witnessing.

If your god isn't a god who would create Hell and judge people, then you are right.  Your god wouldn't do this.  However, this isn't the God of the Bible.  Your god is a figment of your imagination.  Your god is an idol that you are putting before the one, true God.

The very thing that unbelieving sinners are hoping will save them on the day of judgment is the thing that will condemn them - the goodness of God.  A good God punishes murder, lying, stealing, lusting, adultery, etc.  A good God, like a good judge, invokes justice.

Ask people to judge themselves before God judges them.

Jesus Christ is the person that unbelieving sinners don't know, even though He has paid an enormous fine for them.

We broke the law and Jesus paid our fine.

We are living in a time when we need to put all aside for the cause of the gospel.

Avoiding evangelism is like doing nothing as people drown and die in a lake nearby you.

Ray Comfort

Fruits of a True Convert:

Matthew 3:8  "Bear fruits worthy of repentance."

Luke 8:15  "But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience."

Colossians 1:10  "Walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God."

Hebrews 13:15  "Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name."

Galatians 5:22 and 23  "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law."

Philippians 1:11  "Be filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

Fruits of a False Convert:

1. No weighing on issues

2. Spiritually dry

3. Shallow

There are false converts in the midst of God's people.

Some people don't need counsel.  They need repentance.

Some plants don't need fertilizer, they need good soil, first.

A false convert will try and make up for their inward lacking without outward things.

A true convert will never look back or go back.

The sunlight of persecution cause the genuine converts to grow and the false converts to go away.

Chuck Missler

The Ark of the Covenant was removed by the Levites in Manasseh's reign.

King Josiah requested it's return.  The scriptures never mentioned any compliance with this wish.

God communicated with Pharaoh Neco and had him attack King Josiah.  The Ark may have rested in Pharaoh Neco's possession in Elephantine Island.  This island is in the middle of the Nile River.

Pharaoh Neco's rule was the 25th dynasty.  The Ark was likely there between 630 to 430 B.C.

After it left in 430 B.C., it went to Lake Tana.  The Ark was there for around 8 centuries.  This place is called Tana Kirkos.  They have some relics that were likely from the ancient temple.

Once a year in January (Timkat), they take the commandments out of the Ark, put them in a box and take them through a two day ceremony.  These people are descendants of the Levites.

These people pray and sing ecstatically for the days before, the days during and the days after as they celebrate the baptism of Christ!

The Lion of the tribe of Judah is on Ethiopia's money. Ethiopia is one of the only, if not the only nation that publicly declares itself as a Christian nation.

The beads of Waitangi  (The Maori people already knew of Christ, but they didn't know his name.  The Treaty of Waiangi was in 1840.)

Statistical probabilities

347 beads

Only 2 types: black and white

2.8669 x 10-104 power

10-50 power is defined as absurd

A hemoglobin molecule is 574 elements taken from an alphabet of 20

There are only 10 to the 18th power seconds in the history of the universe

Impossibility of "Chance"

The theory of evolution being true is like winning the lottery every day for 90 days!

DNA code

3 out of 4 error-correcting, self-replicating code

Over 3 billion elements defining the manufacture and arrangement of hundreds of thousands of devices

Either you are in awe of God or in awe of the absurd chance that we could be created by chance.

DNA replication is incredibly skillful.  How could it come from random processes?

Which came first the protein or the DNA?

The Nebular Hypothesis - a myth of origins

"About 4 billion years ago, the sun had ejected a tail or a filament of material that cooled, collected and formed planets."

Swedenborg invented this theory.  He claimed to get information about this theory from séances.  Pierre Kant confirmed it with some mathematical validations.

Our sun contains about 99.86% of all the mass of our solar system.

Yet the sun contains only 1.9% of the angular momentum.

The nine planets contain 98.1% of the solar system's angular momentum.

There is no theory that explains a solar origin of our planets.

The larger planets are larger than the inner ones.  How would the develop like this?

There are three pairs of rapid-spin rates among our planets.  They are within 3% of each other.

Earth and Mars

Jupiter and Saturn

Neptune and Uranus

Earth and Mars have virtually identical spin axis tilts at about 23.5 degrees.

Why does Mars have 93% of it's craters on one hemisphere?  Only 7% are on the other hemisphere.  It appears that 80% of the craters occurred within 30 minutes.

Mars - 4th major planet from the Sun

Many early civilizations worshiped Mars and were terrified of it.

It was named after the Roman god of war.

Cosmology is the inference of the past from seeing the present.

Uniformitarianism - things have remained essentially unchanged over "billions of years"

Uniformity Delusions:

View any surface in the solar system; craters and disruptive evidences

Under a constant rain of interplanetary debris the Earth accumulates about 100 tons of extraterrestrial material per day

Over 100 craters on Earth

Tunguska, Central Siberia, June 30, 1908 - An asteroid hit and destroyed 2000 square kilometers of forest.  It was so remote that it wasn't explored until 17 years later.  Compared to a 15 megaton hit.

6 mile diameter; 100 megaton equivalent

Joshua 10 - The Sun stood still

The Battle of Beth-Horon

Adonai-edek was the king of Jerusalem

The sun was commanded to stand still

Ancient calendars are based on 360 day years

All ancient calendars changed after 701 B.C.

19 years, 7 different times the Israelites added a month under Hezekiah

Romans added 4 days

Near-Pass hypothesis:

Earth and Mars originally on resonant orbits

Orbits are interactive and achieve resonance

These catastrophes accounted nearly every 108 years.  This accounts for a number of catastrophic events throughout history.

Energy transfers stabilized in 701 B.C.

Mars was on a 720 day schedule and Earth was on a 360 day schedule.  Every 108 years, Mars would come on the inside just after they passed the Sun.

The inside label of one, astronomical instrument is labeled "Mars".  Some attribute this to mythology.

Mars' orbit would lose some energy and the Earth's orbit would gain some.

The Earth picked up 5 1/4 days and Mars lost 13.

This is a theory and hasn't been proven, but it may be true.

1610 - Galileo developed the first telescope

1781 - Hershel found Uranus

1787 - Hershel found 2 moons of Uranus

1877 - Asaph Hall discovered that Mars had 2 moons

One moon goes forward and one moon goes backwards

Jonathan Swift wrote Gulliver's Travels and in "The Voyage of Laquota" he mentions the moons of Mars and their revolutions.  This was published 151 years before Asaph Hall discovered that Mars had 2 moons.  How could he have done this?  Was it an accident?  Most people believe Swift had some access to some folklore.  He likely didn't realize they were eyewitness accounts of a pass-by of Mars.  Mars would have to be 70,000 miles from Earth to see the things he wrote in his book.

Oct. 25, 1404 B.C. - Mars on a polar pass at 70,000 miles.  Appeared to rise 50 times the size of the Moon.  Severe earthquakes, land tides, etc.  Polar shift of 5 degrees, "day" lengthened, meteors follow 2-3 hours later at 30,000 mph

Joshua vs. Revelation

There are many similarities between Joshua and how he dispossessed the usurpers like God will in Revelation.

The Nephilim in Genesis 6 may have been involved in the creation of the Great Pyramids.  There is Egyptian hieroglyphics all over Egypt, however there isn't any in the Great Pyramids.

There is a smoking gun at Roswell.  Missler has updated "Alien Encounters" and added new information to it.

Isaiah 19:19 and 20 mentions an altar to God in the midst of Egypt and a pillar at the border. 

5449 is the numerical value of Isaiah 19:19 and 20 and it is the value of the pyramid in Pyramid inches (5449 Pyramid inches).

Our dollar bills have a Masonic eye and a pyramid on the back.

Visit the Cairo Museum in Cairo.  It could take a week to see the whole thing!  One thing that is in the museum that isn't mentioned is King Merenptah.  13th Son of Ramses II.  This particular Pharaoh had a lot of salt in his lungs and they believe he drowned in sea water.

In this museum, there are 28 lines of a metered, poetical hymn that celebrates victory over a Libyan coalition.  There are symbols for many cities and one tribe.  This tribe is Israel.

This information is listed in the museum catalog, but nowhere else.
