Chapter 4

For, behold, the day cometh,⁶ that shall burn⁶ as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do⁶ wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh⁶ shall burn them up,¹⁴ saith¹ the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave⁴ them neither root nor branch.

But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise¹ with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth,¹ and grow up¹ as calves of the stall.

And ye shall tread down¹ the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do⁶ [this], saith¹ the LORD of hosts.

Remember³ ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded¹⁴ unto him in Horeb for all Israel, [with] the statutes and judgments.

Behold, I will send⁶ you Elijah the prophet before the coming² of the great and dreadful¹² day of the LORD:
