Chapter 145

David's [Psalm] of praise.
I will extol³⁴ thee, my God, O king; and I will bless¹⁷ thy name for ever and ever.

Every day will I bless¹⁷ thee; and I will praise¹⁷ thy name for ever and ever.

Great [is] the LORD, and greatly to be praised;³⁰ and his greatness [is] unsearchable. ²⁷¹⁴

One generation shall praise¹⁷ thy works to another, and shall declare⁵⁵ thy mighty acts.

I will speak⁴ of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous¹² works.

And [men] shall speak⁴ of the might of thy terrible acts:¹² and I will declare¹⁷ thy greatness.

They shall abundantly utter⁵⁵ the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing¹⁷ of thy righteousness.

The LORD [is] gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.

The LORD [is] good to all: and his tender mercies [are] over all his works.

All thy works shall praise⁵⁵ thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless¹⁷ thee.

They shall speak⁴ of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk¹⁷ of thy power;

To make known⁵³ to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.

Thy kingdom [is] an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion [endureth] throughout all generations. ¹⁷⁵⁵

The LORD upholdeth⁶ all that fall,⁶ and raiseth up⁶ all [those that be] bowed down.⁷

The eyes of all wait¹⁷ upon thee; and thou givest⁶ them their meat in due season.

Thou openest⁶ thine hand, and satisfiest⁵⁶ the desire of every living thing.

The LORD [is] righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.

The LORD [is] nigh unto all them that call⁶ upon him, to all that call⁴ upon him in truth.

He will fulfil⁴ the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear⁴ their cry, and will save⁵⁵ them.

The LORD preserveth⁶ all them that love⁶ him: but all the wicked will he destroy.⁵⁵

My mouth shall speak¹⁷ the praise of the LORD: and let all flesh bless¹⁷ his holy name for ever and ever.
