Chapter 66

To the chief Musician,¹⁸ A Song [or] Psalm.
Make a joyful noise⁵⁴ unto God, all ye lands:

Sing forth¹⁶ the honour of his name: make³ his praise glorious.

Say³ unto God, How terrible¹² [art thou in] thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies⁶ submit¹⁷ themselves unto thee.

All the earth shall worship¹⁰¹ thee, and shall sing¹⁷ unto thee; they shall sing¹⁷ [to] thy name. Selah.

Come³ and see³ the works of God: [he is] terrible¹² [in his] doing toward the children of men.

He turned¹ the sea into dry [land]: they went⁴ through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice⁴ in him.

He ruleth⁶ by his power for ever; his eyes behold⁴ the nations: let not the rebellious⁶ exalt^{4 7311 55} themselves. Selah.

O bless¹⁶ our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard:⁵⁴

Which holdeth⁶ our soul in life, and suffereth¹ not our feet to be moved.

For thou, O God, hast proved¹ us: thou hast tried¹ us, as silver is tried.²

Thou broughtest⁵² us into the net; thou laidst¹ affliction upon our loins.

Thou hast caused men to ride⁵² over our heads; we went¹ through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out⁵⁵ into a wealthy [place].

I will go⁴ into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay¹⁷ thee my vows,

Which my lips have uttered,¹ and my mouth hath spoken,¹⁴ when I was in trouble.

I will offer⁵⁵ unto thee burnt sacrifices of fatlings, with the incense of rams; I will offer⁴ bullocks with goats. Selah.

Come³ [and] hear,³ all ye that fear God, and I will declare¹⁷ what he hath done¹ for my soul.

I cried¹ unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled^{36 7318 36} with my tongue.

If I regard¹ iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear⁴ [me]:

[But] verily God hath heard¹ [me]; he hath attended⁵² to the voice of my prayer.

Blessed⁷ [be] God, which hath not turned away⁵² my prayer, nor his mercy from me.
