Chapter 11

And the LORD said⁴ unto Moses, Yet will I bring⁵⁵ one plague [more] upon Pharaoh, and upon Egypt; afterwards he will let you go¹⁷ hence: when he shall let [you] go,¹⁵ he shall surely¹⁵ thrust you out¹⁷ hence altogether.

Speak¹⁶ now in the ears of the people, and let every man borrow⁴ of his neighbour, and every woman of her neighbour, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold.

And the LORD gave⁴ the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses [was] very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh's servants, and in the sight of the people.

And Moses said,⁴ Thus saith¹ the LORD, About midnight ²⁶⁷⁶ will I go out⁶ into the midst of Egypt:

And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die,¹ from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sitteth⁶ upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that [is] behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts.

And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was⁸ none like it, nor shall be like it any more.⁵⁵

But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move⁴ his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know⁴ how that the LORD doth put a difference⁵⁵ between the Egyptians and Israel.

And all these thy servants shall come down¹ unto me, and bow down⁹⁸ themselves unto me, saying,² Get thee out,³ and all the people that follow thee: and after that I will go out.⁴ And he went out⁴ from Pharaoh in a great anger.

And the LORD said⁴ unto Moses, Pharaoh shall not hearken⁴ unto you; that my wonders may be multiplied² in the land of Egypt.

And Moses and Aaron did¹ all these wonders before Pharaoh: and the LORD hardened¹⁷ Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go¹⁴ out of his land.
