Easton's Bible
Dictionary contains almost 4,000 Bible words with a complete explanation of its
Biblical meaning.
Easton's Bible Dictionary refers to the Illustrated Bible Dictionary, Third
Edition, by Matthew George Easton M.A., D.D. (1823-1894), published three years
after Easton's death in 1897 by Thomas Nelson.
Easton was a Scottish Presbyterian about whom little is written on the Web. Easton's Bible Dictionary contains an extensive set of entries used in the Bible, albeit from a 19th century Christian viewpoint. Some of the entries in it are now out-of-date, many are only short dictionary entries, but much remains that is useful source material.
