SIMMONS, EDWARD EMERSON (1852 ) , American artist, was born at Concord, Massachusetts, on the 27th of October 1852. He graduated from Harvard College in 1874, and was a pupil of Lefebvre and Boulanger in Paris, where he took a gold medal. He was awarded the prize by the Municipal Art Society of New York
scheme , which he carried out for the criminal courts building, later decorating the Waldorf-Astoria
