PRYOR, ROGER ATKINSON (1828 ) , American jurist and politician, was born near Petersburg

Bull Run and Antietam. Owing to adisagreement with President Davis he resigned his commission in 1863, but entered General Fitzhugh Lee's cavalry as a private in August of that year. He was taken prisoner on the 28th of November 1864, but was released on parole by order of the president. In 1865 he removed to New York
