Beverley the gambler. As a poet he produced clever imitations of Gay and Gray, and with the assistance of George, 1st Lord Lyttelton , Lord Chesterfield and Horace Walpole, conducted The World (17531757), a weekly periodical on the model of the Rambler. Moore collected his poems under the title of Poems, Fables and Plays in 1756. He died in Lambeth on the 1st of March
