BLAINVILLE . He divided the " oviparous subtype " of Vertebrates into four classes, Birds, Reptiles , Amphibians and Fishes,' a modification of the system
reptiles " Squammiferes Ornithoides, ecailleux," and the amphibians " Nudipelliferes, Ichthyoides nus."
