Devotions for May 24th through 28th
Monday "Be Mindful of One Another"
1 John 3:11 "For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another."
Galatians 5:10 "For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another."
Colossians 3:13 "Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you."
Hebrews 10:24 "And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds."
Prayer: "Help us to love, forgive, serve and spur one another! Forgive us for falling short in the past. Thank you for being our perfect example. Give us the strength and desire to do what you command. Thank you for making it very possible to obey You. Make us more like You, Lord. Let us love people deeply and consider one another often. Make us selfless, not selfish. In Jesus' name, Amen."
Tuesday "From Wretched Slavery to Wonderful Slavery!"
Romans 6:16 "Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one's slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?"
Galatians 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me."
1 Corinthians 6:20 "For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's."
1 Corinthians 7:23 "You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of men."

Prayer: "Thank you for setting us free, Father! Remind us that we have the power to overcome sin with You. Thank you for changing our lives! Remind us how incredible the scriptures are. Give us discipline to emulate You, Lord. Thank you for making us slaves to doing what is right and God! To You be all the glory, honor and praise, forever and ever! In Jesus' name, Amen."
Wednesday "The True Servant of God"
Hebrews 12:28 "Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear."
Luke 16:13 "No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon."
Colossians 3:23-24 "And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."
Psalm 100:2 "Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before His presence with singing."
Prayer: "Thank you for the chance to serve You, Lord. Help us to take advantage of our opportunities. Change our hearts and help us to be humble servants. Thank you for rewarding and blessing us on Earth and in Heaven when we serve You! Help us to lose track of the ways we've served You and trust You to remember. Thank you for being so worthy of our service! In Jesus' name, Amen."
Thursday "What Faith Can Do"
Luke 17:6 "So the Lord said, If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, 'Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,' and it would obey you."
Matthew 21:21-22 "So Jesus answered and said to them, Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' it will be done. And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive."
Romans 3:28 "Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law."
2 Corinthians 5:7 "For we walk by faith, not by sight."
Hebrews 11:30 "By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days."
2 Timothy 3:15 "And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus."
Prayer: "Thank you for the great power of faith in You. Increase our faith in You. Help us not to doubt, but to believe more and more each day. Teach us your ways. Let us memorize your promises. Thank you for all of the ways we've seen faith change the world! Help us to be unwavering and pray very big! Let us have great power when we use it to glorify You, Lord. In Jesus' name, Amen."
Friday "Praise God's Character"
Psalm 150:1 "Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power."
1 Corinthians 1:9 "God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord."
Psalm 99:9 "Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the LORD our God is holy."
Psalm 18:30 "As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him."
Prayer: "Praise You God for your perfection! Thank you for never leaving us! There is no other God like You. Praise you for being holy! Make us pure and holy like You! Praise You for your mighty power! No other God is living and powerful like You! Thank you for loving us so much and having patience with us. In Jesus' name, Amen."
Challenge
Email a missionary with a letter of encouragement! If you don't know any missionaries, email a pastor, deacon, lay worker or mentor. There's thousands of Christian workers in the world and they would benefit from some encouragement. Take a minute and write one!

Prolonging a relationship with an ungodly woman is like holding tightly to a brick as you are sinking in water.
God wants our seeking.
God wants us to know Him.
We aren't to seek talents first, but to seek God first.
When one seeks Jesus and finds Him, he will have balance.

5 Responses to Persecution: Deposit suffering in God, have patience, rejoice, pray for them, bless them.
A sign of maturity is accepting people where they are but challenging them to press on.
How you pray is important.
When you turn to a passage in the Bible and you're in church, do you worry that you can't find it because you never open your Bible?
Don't stay in your comfort zone too long.
Do you keep your mouth shut when you should speak up?
How deeply are you rooted in Christ?
When you read the Bible, do you do it with passion?
Grace was Paul's signature. What is yours?
If your life is unhappy, calculate the amount of scripture you intake.
Hatred of God comes from ignorance.
You cannot make a great impact for God unless you are a passionate student of God.
Church is a hospital for sinners, not a museum for saints.
God requires our reverence.
People who hear the Word and don't do it are like people who look in the mirror and think they look perfect.
Fear, follow and fall in love with God.
God wants us to kindle our love for Him.
God wants us to tell Him that we love Him then demonstrate it with our lives.

When you point a finger at someone, you're pointing 3 back at yourself - the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
God creates out of nothing, so until we're nothing in front of him (humble), God can't use us.
God isn't interested in only the Holy huddle; He wants us to play!
When you have a pure conscious you don't judge people's motives and heart.
The sin you are trying to find in others is often the one you are committing.
