Monday "Facts on Faithfulness"

Psalm 12:1 "Help, LORD, for the godly man ceases! For the faithful disappear from among the sons of men."

Psalm 119:38 "You have appointed your decrees in righteousness and in all faithfulness."

Proverb 11:13 "A talebearer reveals secrets, But he who is of a faithful spirit conceals a matter."

Proverb 27:6 "Faithful are the wounds of a friend, But the kisses of an enemy are deceitful."

Galatians 5:22 "But the fruit of the Spirit is.....faithfulness.....against such there is no law.

1 Corinthians 1:9 "God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord."

Hebrews 13:5b "I will never leave you nor forsake you."

Prayer: "Thank you for showing us about faithfulness in your Word, Lord. Praise you for your awesome faithfulness to us and all generations! Give us more faithfulness to You and to others. Thank you for your example - You never leave us and all of your promises will always be true! Help us to love people deeply and without reservation! In Jesus' name, Amen."

Tuesday "Learn Not to Be Envious"

Proverb 3:31 "Do not envy the oppressor, And choose none of his ways;"

Proverb 14:30 "A sound heart is life to the body, But envy is rottenness to the bones."

Proverb 23:17 "Do not let your heart envy sinners, But be zealous for the fear of the LORD all the day;"

1 Corinthians 4:13b "Love does not envy."

Proverb 24:19 "Do not fret because of evildoers, Nor be envious of the wicked;"

Prayer: "Forgive us for when we've envied others, Lord. Give us contentment with what we have right now, but don't let that make us lazy! Give us joy when people have things, even if we do not. Help us to understand that You always give us what we need, when we need it, but You are the only one who truly knows what we need and when we need it. Thank you for teaching us so much patience as we wait on your perfection. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Wednesday "Another State of Mind"

1 Corinthians 2:11-16 "For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ."

Prayer: "Thank you for giving us the mind of Christ! Thank you for the Holy Spirit that helps us understand spiritual things! Helps us to be seekers and learners, not just casual Christians. Thank you for accepting everyone that comes to You, Lord! Help us get past the cliches we use and get serious about loving You and others! In Jesus' name, Amen."

Thursday "There's Something About Birds..."

Matthew 3:16 "When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him."

Genesis 8:10-12 "And he waited yet another seven days, and again he sent the dove out from the ark. Then the dove came to him in the evening, and behold, a freshly plucked olive leaf was in her mouth; and Noah knew that the waters had receded from the earth. So he waited yet another seven days and sent out the dove, which did not return again to him anymore."

Isaiah 40:31a "But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles."

Luke 12:24 "Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds?"

Ezekiel 17:23 "On the mountain height of Israel I will plant it; and it will bring forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be a majestic cedar. Under it will dwell birds of every sort; in the shadow of its branches they will dwell."

Prayer: "Thank you for teaching us with everything we see and hear, including birds! Bless us and all creation, Lord! Help us to look up, literally, and gaze at some of your beautiful work! Make our load lighter in our mind. Take away all of our worries and fears! In Jesus' name, Amen."

Friday "Slide Into Submission"

Matthew 7:24-25 "Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock."

Proverb 30:5 "Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him."

James 4:7 "Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you."

Prayer: "Thank you for rewarding us when we submit to You, Lord! You are so wise and awesome! Help us to put our faith in You, wholeheartedly. Forgive us for our unfaithfulness and sins. Purify our desires and make us like You, Jesus! In Your name, Amen."

Challenge:

Whatever you do this week, do it with all of your heart. We must admire God's Words when He encourages and requires us to do all things with all of our heart! If you've ever seen someone give a half-hearted effort at work or somewhere, you know what I mean. Similarly, I'm sure we've all seen someone do a good deed like they were forced to do it. God wants us to love others and Him like we mean it - with all of our heart! So when you have to do something this week and you're wondering whether you'll like it or not, decide to do it in a perfect way, as best as you can! You'll be rewarded and feel better about it too! Finally, when you feel unappreciated, just remember that God will reward you for your work!

Colossians 3:23-24 "And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."
