Monday "Ask for Joy"

John 16:4 "Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full."

Psalm 19:8 "The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes."

Galatians 5:22 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy...."

Ecclesiastes 7:14 "In the day of prosperity be joyful..."

1 Thessalonians 5:17 "Pray without ceasing."

Isaiah 61:10 "I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, My soul shall be joyful in my God; For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels."

Tuesday "Find Wisdom"

James 1:5 "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."

Proverb 4:1 "Hear, my children, the instruction of a father, And give attention to know understanding;"

Psalm 49:3 "My mouth shall speak wisdom, And the meditation of my heart shall give understanding."

Proverb 11:12 "He who is devoid of wisdom despises his neighbor, But a man of understanding holds his peace."

*** Wisdom should be associated with listening. Listening is hearing while not thinking your own thoughts. The word "listen" is found 5 times in the book of Proverbs in the NKJV. Here they are:

Proverb 7:24 "Now therefore, listen to me, my children; Pay attention to the words of my mouth:"

Proverb 8:6 "Listen, for I will speak of excellent things, And from the opening of my lips will come right things;"

Proverb 8:32 "Now therefore, listen to me, my children, For blessed are those who keep my ways."

Proverb 13:1 "A wise son heeds his father's instruction, But a scoffer does not listen to rebuke."

Proverb 19:20 "Listen to counsel and receive instruction, That you may be wise in your latter days."

Proverb 23:22 "Listen to your father who begot you, And do not despise your mother when she is old."

Wednesday "Give a Gift to Somebody"

Luke 14:12-14 "Then He also said to him who invited Him, When you give a dinner or a supper, do not ask your friends, your brothers, your relatives, nor rich neighbors, lest they also invite you back, and you be repaid. But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind. And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you; for you shall be repaid at the resurrection of the just."

Acts 20:35 "I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, It is more blessed to give than to receive."

Malachi 3:10 "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this, says the LORD Almighty, and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it."

Thursday "Love the Unlovable...Not Just Once...And Don't Just Pretend"

Luke 6:35 (Jesus speaking) "But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil."

1 Peter 3:8 "Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous;"

1 John 3:18 "My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth."

Matthew 24:12 (Jesus speaking prophetically) "And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold."

Matthew 24:9 (Jesus speaking prophetically) "Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name's sake."

Friday "Don't Be Afraid This Weekend"

Isaiah 41:10 "Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."

Psalm 18:2 "The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold."
