Monday "Obey the Truth"

Acts 5:29 "Peter and the other apostles replied: 'We must obey God rather than men!'"

1 John 4:1 "Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world."

John 14:6 "Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"

Prayer: "Thank you for giving us the truth in Your Word, Lord. Remind us to read it and memorize it. Praise You for your power and your consistency-You never change. Give us wisdom to find, listen and obey the truth. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Tuesday "Be Ready"

Matthew 24:44 "So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him."

1 Thessalonians 5:2 "For you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night."

Matthew 24:42 "Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come."

Prayer: "Thank you that You are coming back to judge the world and will rapture the believers before the great tribulation. Thank you for the signs of the end that you have given and are giving us. Make us more faithful to You and give us strength to run this race to win until the very end. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Wednesday "Encourage Somebody"

1 Thessalonians 5:11 "Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing."

Hebrews 10:25 "Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching."

John 13:35 "By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."

Prayer: "Thank you for sending people to encourage us. Remind us to encourage others. Give us self-control over our tongues, so we can realize the damage and the good that words can do. Send us out and let us show our love for You and others. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Thursday "Love is a Verb"

1 John 3:18 "Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth."

John 7:24 "Stop judging by mere appearances, and make a right judgment."

Matthew 7:12 "So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets."

1 John 3:23 "And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us."

Prayer: "Thank you for loving us so much, Jesus. Thanks for forgiving us when we confess our sins. Let us love like You do. Give us more love for You and for others. Show us ways that we can show our love to others and You. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Friday "He's our Rock"

2 Samuel 22:32 "For who is God besides the LORD? And who is the Rock except our God?"

2 Samuel 22:47 "The LORD lives! Praise be to my Rock! Exalted be God, the Rock, my Savior!"

Psalm 61:2 "From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I."

Isaiah 26:4 "Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD, is the Rock eternal."

Prayer: "You are my Rock, Lord. You are stronger than all. You are eternal. Thank you for protecting me from my enemies. Make me strong and faithful to You. Give me kindness, wisdom, love, peace and joy. To You be all of the glory, honor and praise, forever and ever. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Challenge:

Show love to somebody. Write a letter of encouragement, give to a needy person, or show love in an original way--you decide. It's obvious that God wants us to love one another. This will take a little time and effort, but you will be rewarded.
