I have been trying for over a year now to perfect this tab, and I think

I finally have it. The only thing that I don't really know about this

song is the superior sound qualaity that Edge gets. If you have any

tips for perfecting the sound, let me know (i.e., how much overdrive,

compressor, or whatever).

First, THERE IS NO CAPO ON THE FIRST FRET. I played this song up until

a few weeks ago with a CAPO, and the sound never sounded right on the

main riff. If you do use a capo, use it for a second guitar to play

along with the main guitar. THE FOLLOWING IS MY NEW, FINAL, AND

IMPROVED TAB.

*All I Want Is You--This is in A, and it's tuned

town a 1/2 step. I didn't look at the solo you had, but

basically it's an octave above the beginning of the solo.

The 2 opening chords aren't A and D, it's really a D

variant, which is just D without fingering the F# on the

1st string, and leaving the 1st string open.

finaly, that little riff that the edge plays after bono sings "all I want, is

you" is just the first little riff with the ocassional sus2 chord thrown in.

hopefully i'll have time to make a better transcription of this song sometime.

it would sure help to have my guitar with me when I hear it next...

I think U2 plays this in A, tuned down half a step. I use G because I

like the sound.
