2nd 40 Day Fast Journal

Days 21-30

Day 21:

Today was quite a day. Monday. It was the first day of our July soccer camp!

I had 7 kids come to the camp. They were really sweet. I had enough energy to coach and even play some soccer with them! Praise the Lord.

I haven't had to drink any extra juices. I've just been consuming the amount I specified earlier. I'm not planning on changing my intake of them.

I weighed about 160, today. I know I was 159.5, yesterday, so I think I'm retaining a little water. My broth has some salt in it, so I think that is the culprit.

Tonight, Sarine and I sent the devotions. We added over 1500 names this week! It was awesome to see the list grow so much. It's not taking too much longer to send them. We're using Eudora, so it goes really fast. It only takes about 15 minutes a piece.

I spent 30 minutes in prayer and Bible reading as I wrote the devotions (they contain prayers and scriptures). It was a lot of fun. It's interesting how each part take me exactly 30 minutes! It takes me a little longer if I get distracted. I did my 30 minutes of worship in my van. Singing and driving!

I was quite tired after soccer. I felt like taking a nap, but I didn't have the chance. I went to bed a little early and got some extra sleep. Yes, I'm writing this on Tuesday.

Day 22:

Today was a blast, again.

I taught the soccer camps and there were 12 people there! Since there were only 7 in the yesterday's camp, I called the kids who were in June's camp. It was great to see four of them come and one new kid there. Praise the Lord! Not only is it easier to have a quality camp with more kids, I get paid more!

It was about 80 degrees outside. I might have had a little more energy if I wasn't fasting, but I did fine. I had plenty of sun screen on and I drank a lot of water. Before I left, I had my morning glass of fruit juice.

I like stretching with the kids. I even stretched after practice because my muscles were feeling tight. This could just be because I haven't been exercising much, lately.

I've been getting a little cold, lately. I think it's harder for my body to stay warm. I'm going to have to start wearing something a little warmer. Last night, I was realizing how incredibly blessed I am to live in Oceanside, California. The weather is incredible. Almost any time of the year, I can open my window and get fresh air. It's never too hot and it's never too cold! It's just wondering. I don't need to use air conditioning or heat. Actually, I prefer being warmer than the normal person (in general), so I usually run my heater in the bed room. I don't like breathing cold air while I sleep.

I went to Bible study. It was great. We did worship and said goodbye to Pastor Kent. He's leaving for another job. I pray that God blesses him and his family.

I read Genesis 7-13. I also read Proverbs chapter 10. It was awesome to continue the story of the Earth's beginning. I found it interesting how God created Adam and Eve and within a few chapters, the Earth was wiped out by the flood. There were a couple stories in between the flood and Noah.

It was interesting to see that before the flood, Noah was the last or only godly man. After the flood, all we read about him is a couple things. First, he let some birds leave the ark, so he could discover if the ground was dry or not. He didn't ask God what to do. It seems like he wasn't walking with God any more and he was doing what he thought was best. Perhaps he got disappointed in the ark.

Next, all we hear about Noah is that he becomes a farmer, plants a vineyard and gets drunk! After getting drunk, he takes off his clothes. Quite odd, huh?!

After Noah's story, there were some genealogies and they bring us to Abram. God starts speaking to Abram and directing Him. Awesome, huh?!

I got the book, "Alien Encounters" by Chuck Missler and Mark Eastman, today. It came in the mail and it's so awesome! I'm reading about UFO sightings and things. I'm sure this book will expand my knowledge on this subject. Usually, I quickly dismiss any UFO or alien stories. Perhaps I dismiss them because I never see them. However, this book is talking about the plethora of people, from all different backgrounds, countries, professions and walks of life who have seen, videotaped and remembered UFOs. I'll write the interesting things I learn. At least I'll try and write them. This journal isn't about this book, but I'm totally interested in it.

I was 159.5, today, again.

Day 23:

Today was a great day. I had the soccer camp, a guitar lesson and went to Bible study. I also sent the gospel to over 18,000 people!

I was 158 pounds when I got up.

First, I had a dream last night. Here is what happened:

I was with my friend Wally. He was the best man at my wedding. For some reason, we were at the beach. We didn't have a way to get home, so we called a cab. A taxicab drove us home and we went to my parents' house in El Cajon! I'm not sure why we went there, but we did. The total fare was $720!

We had the taxi drop us off near our house and we ran. We got away from the taxi.

Apparently, this guy worked by my parents' house. We saw him working and decided to watch him. We watched him from a tree and we ended up falling asleep in the tree. When we woke up, we saw him and his friend leaving in tank. Yes, a big, metal tank! I had a gun and I shot at him. For some reason, I wanted to kill him. I think it was because he wanted to kill me and I wanted to get him before he could kill me. My bullets bounced off the tank and didn't do any damage. I was shooting the actually Smith and Wesson gun that I own. I shot all 6 bullets that were in the gun.

I ran to my parents' house. I had to open the door and it took a minute. Meanwhile, they were shooting a handgun at me! Blam, blam, blam, blam, blam, blam, blam. I heard 7 shots and knew that had more than a 6-shooter. I thought they had an 8 bullet gun. Blam, blam. Ok, maybe they have 10 bullets in the gun. Blam. Their shots were making holes in my front door! The wood was splintering and I was frantically trying to unlock the door and get inside. After the 10 bullets were fired (and all of them missed me), I heard 2 more bullets fired from a different gun. They also missed me and I finally entered the building.

I locked the door behind me and ran into my room. I shut the door behind me, but it had no lock (like reality). I grabbed a silencer and loaded my last 3 bullets. I think I heard them coming, shot through the door and killed them.

Crazy dream, huh?! I'm not sure what it meant, but I'll guess.

720 is the number for 2 complete circles. I think there is some significance there. It's not a 180 (like repentance), it's a full circle, twice. Perhaps it's indicating that I'm being foolish for a 2nd time.

In real life, I've had thoughts about taking a taxi for a long distance and running. Of course, I haven't thought about this for a long time. The last time I thought about this was probably when I was living in the world.

My soccer kids have been climbing in a tree. It looks like fun. I haven't told them to get down, but I hope they don't fall or get hurt. It's interesting that Wally and I were in the tree, together. We were probably sleeping because I have been extra tired because of soccer. Maybe it's my struggle: having fun vs. resting. I love to be active and do lots of things, yet I'm a little too tired to do everything I want to do.

Finally, the silencer at my parents' house probably indicates how my dad likes peace and quiet. I'm sure I didn't want to disturb him. I didn't ring the doorbell or knock. I had to unlock it myself. Plus, I didn't want to wake or bother him with a loud gun.

I think that's about it. It was a pretty intense dream. I wrote notes about it when I woke up, but didn't expand on them until now. If I had written all of this earlier, I might have had a couple more details. On with the rest of my journal......

The soccer camp was a lot of fun. My Dad was there and he brought two girls with him. The girls are from his soccer team. He coaches a high school girls team. They were talented and the younger girls loved them.

I got some sun and had fun teaching soccer. I taught goal kicks, corner kicks and penalty kicks. We did some drills and played a scrimmage game. The game was tied at the end of regulation time, so we had a shootout! The shootout was tied, too, so it kept going for a few extra minutes. Finally, at 3pm, it ended when Blake blasted a ball into the goal.

After soccer, I came home for a little while. I did some web work and took a shower.

Lately, I've been feeling a little dizzy. When I was singing worship songs, at Bible study last night, I felt a little light headed. I think it was because I was expending so much energy and my energy was low.

During the time between my (approximately) 3pm glass of vegetable juice and my 10pm glass of fruit juice I have an energy low; especially around 7-10pm. It makes sense. Also, when I get up really quickly, I get a little lightheaded. This is a well known occurrence. If I would get up slower, this wouldn't happen.

My guitar lesson went very well. I hadn't had a lesson with Ryan in quite awhile. He's doing well and excited about playing. He learned the worship song I gave him and he wants to learn another! I'm so glad. Praise the Lord! My work found me this student, so I wasn't sure about his religion. His Dad said his sister was a Christian. I'm happy he was open to worship songs. Perhaps he's saved or he'll get saved. Perhaps he'll be a worship leader.

After the lesson, I drove to Maranatha Chapel. This was about 35 minutes from Ryan's house in Carlsbad. It was a fun drive and I sang while I drove.

Steve Wiggins (the lead singer from Big Tent Revival) was playing! He is a really talented and god-centered individual. He played a couple new songs that were incredible. They went along with the scriptures, too! "Everything works together for the good for those called according to His purpose" was the basis for one song.

Ray Bentley wasn't there, so another guy spoke. He gave a fantastic message, though. He spoke about Elijah and what he did on the last day of his earthly life. He was told that he was going to be taken into Heaven. On his last day on Earth, he chose to visit a place of worship, some of his prophet friends and a couple other places. It was interesting that he didn't decide to doing anything foolish or anything self-serving! It made me think about what I'd do on my last day of life. Also, it made me wonder what I'd ask for if I knew God would give it to me. Hmmmmm.

I did over 30 minutes of worship, today. The band at Maranatha and Steve had great songs! Plus, I sang in the van. I did my 30 minutes of prayer. I prayed at home, at church and at soccer. Finally, I did my 30 minutes of Bible reading at church. We didn't read the whole entire time, but we chewed on the Bible and read from 2 Kings, so I think it counts. *Smile*

As I was driving to Maranatha, I couldn't remember how to get there. I remembered Miles telling us to ask God and not rely on ourselves when we need an answer. Consequently, I asked God which exit to take. At first, I heard him say the Carmel Mountain Road exit. This was almost good enough for me. However, I didn't feel quite right about it. I asked God again and pleaded with Him to show me the right way. I took the exit before Carmel Mountain Road (it's called Camino del Norte). I turned right and followed this for awhile. It looked very familiar and I was nearly certain I was going the right way. I had been to this church about 3 weeks ago.

I knew I had to turn right somewhere, but I wasn't sure where. I prayed again and asked God for guidance. It was awesome to see myself continually walking (or driving) by faith and being led by God. He led me to the correct street and I turned right. The church was down and on my left. Praise God! We found it.

Another interesting thing happened to me.....when I was sitting in church (I had a great, 2nd row seat!), a guy walked in and sat by me. He reeked of cologne and smoke. It was obvious he was either smoking or around smoke and tried to cover it with heavy cologne. It was barely bearable. I felt God convicting me to say something to this man about it. I wasn't sure if I should say something to him or write him a note. I started to chicken out, so I promised God I would bring this subject to this man's attention. Sometimes I promise God things. This way, I KNOW I will do them. I never want to promise God something and not do it. In fact, I can only remember one time when I promised God something and didn't do it. I also remember apologizing profusely and thanking God He didn't judge me at that moment.

I decided to write this guy a note. I figured that if I couldn't talk to him, I'd at least give him the note. It simply said, "The heavy cologne didn't cover the smoke. And it wasn't for a lack of cologne. God bless, Jason. www.jcsm.org." I handed this note to the man and left. It was at the very end of service. I prayed for him several times, too. I hope God uses it for good.

Nite and God bless!

Day 24:

Ahhh, day 24. Here we go!

This was a very good day. Some interesting things happened. I had my soccer camp, taught a guitar lesson, watched a baseball game, did some web work and relaxed. Praise the Lord.

I had some energy for soccer. It would have been nice to have had more, though! I miss running really hard without getting tired. I was wondering if some of the kids were thinking I was slacking. I was offered some food the other day, so I told a couple of them about my fast. I hope it encouraged them. I've been praying for them and I'll miss them.

Don came and helped, today. The kids loved him last time. They had a fun time with him this time, too. It was nice to have help. There were only 10 kids, today, but it could have been a little more chaotic without him. That reminds me I wanted to email him to say thanks.

I just wrote Don and wrote one of the girls who helped me yesterday. It's amazing all the things I remember when I have some time to myself! This is one reason why I love being self-employed. I work very hard, but I have time to do things like write a thank you letter, make a phone call, call about an advertisement, do research, etc. I'm sure I would put off and rarely do most of the things I do that makes me different than most people if I didn't have the time.

Speaking of different....I did my 30/30/30, today. The worship was done with my guitar student, Sean. We played together for an hour! We sang "I Want To Know You", "Jesus, Lover of My Soul", "The Heart of Worship" and a couple others! It was a blast. I also sang in my van.

Someone I don't know emailed me a list of Old Testament prophecies that were fulfilled by Jesus in the New Testament! This was such an awesome blessing. There are about 35 of them. I took the email, found the verses and made a web page from them. Actually, I'm not quite done. I'll finish it soon and put it on the web. This is such a faithful builder. Lots of people believe in the Old Testament. The prophecies in it were spoken and written hundreds and even thousands of years before Jesus walked the Earth. Nonetheless, He fulfilled them! It's mind boggling. Praise the Lord.

My web page had a record day for hits! 130 hits were recorded on it! Woohoo!!! I think this is an all-time high. One reason it had so many hits is because I advertized in the San Diego Reader newspaper. The ad started today and it read something like, "Are you looking for love? www.jcsm.org" Haha! I know people found true love on my web site.....even if it wasn't the kind of love they were looking for. I pray they are encouraged and blessed.

I weighed 158, today.

The baseball game was awesome. The Padres beat the Astros 7-4. Trevor Hoffman closed the game and earned his 19th save. Yeehaw! Fun, fun, fun. They play again, tomorrow, at 5pm.

Day 25:

The last day of soccer went well, today. It was fun to see the kids one last time. Hopefully, I'll see a lot of them again in August. After this fast is over, I'll teach a camp from August 6-10.

The last two days, I got donations in the mail. Praise the Lord! It's awesome to see how God provides for this ministry.

I read 7 chapters of Genesis, tonight. They were awesome! The Bible is such a complete book. I was laughing when I read about Abraham's conversation with God. He was asking God if there were 50 righteous people in Sodom, would He abstain from destroying the city. God said yes. Then Abraham asked him if He'd destroy the city if there were only 40...then 30...then 20...then 10! God said He wouldn't destroy the city if He found 10 righteous people. He only found 4, so He destroyed it. I read from Genesis 14-20.

I was 158 pounds, today.

I had some prayer time with Sarine. I hadn't prayed for my 30 minutes, so I enjoyed some time with her. It's great to pour out our hearts, together.

I did my 30 minutes of worship in my van.

I was planning on going to a beach bonfire with my church friends, tonight. However, I felt God leading me to the harbor for some time alone with Him. It was great to read from Bruce Wilkinson's new book, "Secrets of the Vine". I took some notes and learned about God's pruning process. It's awesome to see that He prunes the ones He loves. He prunes us, so we can bear even more fruit! We may have worldly ties or we may waste some time. God sees those "branches" and often cuts them off, so we can bear more fruit from the good branches! Awesome, huh?!

I wrote a couple poems, too. I'm not sure if I'll type them or not. I wasn't in a great mood when I got to the harbor, so one poem was about God beginning to change my mood; and ultimately changing it to bliss. The other poem was about God's chastening. Both were good and rhymed pretty well. They are in my hand-written journal.

Day 26:

I was 156 pounds, today.

I slept until almost 12:30pm! I needed to catch up on some rest because the soccer camps had drained a lot of my energy. I felt well rested when I woke up.

Sarine and I are going to a Buddhist temple, tomorrow. It was the best one for us to investigate. The International Churches of Christ don't have a church. They meet in people's homes, so we couldn't find one. The Buddhist service is at 9:30am and it's about 10-15 minutes away. It should be interesting!

I've been doing a lot of work, today. I have had a lot of little things that I needed to do. These kinds of things are easy to put off. It feels great to do them, though. Most of the things are ministry related.

Tonight, Sarine and I went to Horizon Christian Fellowship. We thought Mike Macintosh was speaking, but they had one of their deacons speaking instead. Mickey Stonier gave us a great sermon. I took some notes and it was fun. The worship was good, too. This accounted for my 30/30. I spent time in prayer here and at night, so I accomplished the 30/30/30. Praise the Lord.

Doing the prayer part of the 30/30/30 is the most difficult. Worship is probably the easiest part to accomplish. Bible reading is in the middle. It's odd, but true. I hope I can spend more time in prayer. Now that I'm not having soccer camps, I'm sure it will be a little easier to pray and read the Word when I awaken.

I read a lot of my Alien Encounters book! Wow, there is some incredible information in it. Chuck Missler and Mark Eastman reveal all kinds of things about extraterrestrials, demons, fallen angels, the Nephilim, the New Age movement, etc. I recommend reading it.

I learned how demons are most likely the spirits that have died inside the Nephilim. God's fallen angels had sex with human women and this produced the Nephilim (giant hybrids). It's interesting how the Hebrew word "nephil" means to fall. Literally, they are the "fallen ones".

Fallen angels that aren't demons can manifest themselves in human or I suppose humanoid forms. This probably explains all abductions, sightings of aliens, alien encounters, etc. The demons are looking for bodies, so they roam the Earth. It's amazing how long most Christians have lumped demons and fallen angels together into one group without considering that they have some differences.

We see that God destroyed the world with a flood directly after mentioning the Nephilim. God obviously was very unhappy about fallen angels having sex with earthly women. However, even after the flood, we see cases of giants or Nephilim on the Earth. Goliath was a giant. Further, the Hebrew word "Nephilim" was used when the spies found giants in the land.

Day 27:

Yeehaw! Day 27!

Well, today was an interesting day. Have you ever heard of wheatgrass? Well, I drank a 2 ounce shot of wheatgrass! It is purely from wheatgrass (a vegetable that looks like green grass). Jamba Juice juiced it in front of me and served it to me! It was pretty good tasting and I felt a little boost. Actually, I felt a little lightheaded and short of breath when I drank it. This only lasted a few seconds, though. I'd drink it again, but it definitely wasn't a "miracle" drink. I'd probably feel the same way if I drank a glass of fruit juice or V8 juice. I'm going to research it some more and find if there have been tests done on it. I'd like to know if it has awesome healing our antioxidant properties. I'm going to research it right now!

I'm visiting a web site that sells wheatgrass. Apparently, it has detoxifying properties, works like hemoglobin, removes wastes that clog veins and arteries, promotes healthy circulation, etc. Looks good. Of course, a place that sells it would speak highly of it, though. They call it "liquid sunshine". It has chlorophyl. Haha. I never knew I needed that.

It contains vitamins B, C, E and carotene (A). It also has calcium, iron, selenium, zinc, oxygen and amino acids. Sounds good. Hiccup. Just kidding.

I nearly finished "Alien Encounters", tonight. Wow, what a book. I've learned a lot and there is still a lot to learn. I ordered a couple more books from half.com. I can get a great book by Hal Lindsey, Chuck Missler or Dave Hunt for only a couple dollars. Most of them have been written a few years ago, but I'm guessing they are still pertinent, valid and true. I'll receive them in a few days and I'll check them out. I'm going to have a library of prophecy books, soon! I have to be discerning about what I read and keep. There are definitely heretical and fanatical prophecy buffs out there. The ones I've been reading have been recommended by my pastor. I'm trusting they are solid. Plus, they words haven't disagreed with anything I've been taught. Sometimes, they take some of the things I've been taught and take them a step further. I don't see this as a contradiction. It's more of a bold move and usually when they make an assumption or interpretation, they mention that this is how they interpret the Word.

I was 156 pounds, today.

My wife and I had a disagreement, today. It took a lot of energy out of me. Everything is fine, now. I simply wanted to admit that having a disagreement with a loved one, while on an extended fast, seems more intense and draining than normal.

I think that's all the interesting things that happened, today! Oh yeah, I went to church! The Rock was great. Miles wasn't there, so we heard a sermon from the college pastor. I'm going to write him right now and tell him he did a good job.

The worship was very good. Praise the Lord! I did my 30/30/30, today. My worship was done at church and in the car. My Bible reading and study was at church. I had some extended time of prayer at home, plus, I prayed in church and at other times. I hope I can keep up this 30/30/30 when I finish the fast!

I'm less than two weeks away from the end of this fast! Woohoo! It's great and awesome, but it will be nice to eat again. I'll definitely do this again when I feel God calling me to do it. If God were to call me to a 40 day fast and I were not to answer, I'd hate to see what would happen. I'd probably be like Jonah in the story of Ninevah.

I had a dream the other night. I dreamt that I ate some food and had no remorse. I can't remember the rest of the dream. I woke up and was very happy that I hadn't eaten anything. Whew!

God bless and nite!

Day 28:

Today was Monday. A very good day. I must say.

I spent my 30 minutes of prayer and Bible reading when I wrote the devotions. For some reason, I felt very inspired to write the devotional message! I could tell that the overall tone was happy and joyful! It was a lot of fun, too.

I weighed 155, today.

Typing the quotes was fun. God always gives me lots of great wisdom. He also tells me things that I need to do. I compiled my "to-do" list.

I was up really late working on the devotions. Sarine helped me. We added almost 1,000 new names this week. Now, the list is over 19,000. Incredible, huh?!

The main site has been getting tons of hits. I called several newspapers and had them put ads for the web site in their publications. I received some warfare, though.

When I mentioned to one lady that I wanted to advertize for "Bible lessons", she told me it was going to cost a lot more. It had to be in a certain category and not Thrifties. I asked to talk to her manager, but he wasn't there. I'll have to call him later.

At any rate, two, major San Diego newspapers will be putting ads in the papers this week. The San Diego Reader and the Union-Tribune. The Union will be sent over 1 million times over the time the three day ad is published! I'm sure the hits will skyrocket! We'll see what God does.

I'm so excited about the new growth! This web site is really getting huge (well traveled).

Day 29:

Today was Tuesday. I got flooded with emails because I sent the devotions last night. Some people were incredibly happy and others were angry. This is usually what happens when these messages are sent. It's pretty awesome to see the spiritual warfare and tension. It effects different people in different ways.

I weighed 154 pounds, today.

I sat and prayed for nearly 30 minutes. The rest of my prayer time was at church and throughout the day. I did 30 minutes of worship in my van and at Bible study. Bible study was great and we studied the 11th chapter of Revelation.

Tyrone taught us about the end times and the two witnesses of God that will prophesy and win people to Christ. Tyrone thinks they will be Moses and Elijah. There is a good argument for those people. I was leaning toward Elijah and Enoch, but it very well could be Elijah and Moses. It could also be two totally different people. We'll see! Here are the arguments:

Elijah and Moses: Elijah was taken into Heaven. He never died. Moses' body was fought after by the devil. Michael wouldn't let Satan have it. Further, Moses and Elijah were seen at Jesus' transfiguration.

Enoch and Elijah: (See Elijah's case above.) Enoch was a godly man and he was taken up without dying. This puts him and Elijah in somewhat the same category. However, I recently realized some things. A big reason why God destroyed the Earth with the flood is because the fallen angels had children with the women of the Earth. Enoch was pulled off the Earth because He was walking with God. This happened a little before God saved Noah's family in the ark. Therefore, it doesn't appear that God has any huge or special purpose for Enoch. It's intriguing to consider, though.

I had a dream last night. In this dream, my wife was emailing somebody and I was suspicious about it. In reality, this has never happened. In this dream, I thought she was sending a letter to some guy.

I got on her computer, while she was outside barbequing and I checked her AOL "Sent Mail". I didn't find any letters to guys. The letter that I thought was to a guy wasn't a big deal.

This is all I can really remember. I'm not sure what it means, but I will guess. I think it shows that she is faithful to me. It tells me that I shouldn't worry about her faithfulness. Frankly, I never have. I'm very thankful that she is such a faithful and loving girl!

Her barbequing food was a role reversal. She does some cooking, but I do the barbequing. I've heard that as people get older, they begin to reverse roles a little. When a guy and girl meet, he's very masculine and she's very feminine (generally). As they get to know each other, marry and live together, they rub on each other. Part of the changing is they learn from one another. She teaches him how to be more sensitive and smart in a female sense and he teaches her to be strong and smart in a guy's sense. Interesting, huh?! Maybe this dream was articulating what is happening or what will happen.

I went to the library, today. I remember when I couldn't stand that place! Now I totally enjoy it! Haha.

They have movies, cds and books. I looked for a Dave Hunt book. They don't have any Dave Hunt or Chuck Missler books! How amazing, huh?! It's no surprise that a decaying world doesn't contain any of the most awesome, prophecy books. I pray that the world can hear God's message and repent. I pray God breaks the chains that are holding people in hostage. I pray He opens their eyes.

I did a bunch of ministry work, today. A few Catholics have decided to engage in emailing me. They know a good deal about their religion. Since I'm reading a book about their church (history, present and future), I'm well equipped to ask them the questions that hit home. So far, they have either tried to find answers to refute my questions and one guy just gave up. Maybe God used something I said to change him. I pray that I can keep planting seeds and God harvests them. We'll see what God does and we'll see what they do.

Two weeks ago, I sprained my left thumb. I mentioned it, but didn't say much. I think it is healing a little slowly because of the fast. I'm not 100% sure, though. I know I sprained it badly, so perhaps it would take this long or nearly this long to heal if I wasn't fasting. I'm glad it's almost, totally healed. Incidentally, I've noticed a couple bruises and a scab healing slowly. The scabs seemed to make my skin heal with a red tint. I wonder if it will go away. The bruises are simply going away slowly. Perhaps my circulation is a little slower than before, so my body isn't removing all the fluid like it can. When I began eating, it could snap back into a regular healing mode.

Day 30:

I was 154 pounds, today.

I had my first glass of fruit juice at 4am! I woke up and craved something to it. I would get these cravings before the fast. They were weird because they just hit me and were hard to overcome. When I prayed, they went away, but I figured I'd just drink my first glass of juice early. When I drank it, I wasn't sure what time it was. I just knew it was dark outside.

I went to the dentist and was there for over 3 hours! They did an incredible job on my teeth. I have no cavities! Yeah! I had a lot of plaque build-up on the insides of my teeth, so they did a lot of scraping. My gums bled. Ouch. My mouth feels a little sore, now. It'll be better, soon, and my teeth will be all clean.

I received an incredible deal in the mail! They only charged me $50 for x-rays, a check-up and teeth cleaning! Their usual price was $165. It's amazing how God hooked me up with such an incredible deal. Since I moved to North County a couple years ago, I only went to the dentist once. Therefore, I haven't seen one in about a year and a half. Of course, this made all the dentist office workers upset. "You should come here every 6 months" was their common cry. Ok, ok. I should have said, "Why, so you can poke me with a metal device until my gums bleed?" Haha. The doc was saying that my gums were bleeding and the problem was tartar on my inside gum line. I told him I thought it was him poking me with the metal device. He didn't laugh. Oh well.

The lady who cleaned my teeth was very sweet. In fact, she was a Christian! Her son is a Christian, too. She told me that there are 3 Mormons who work there. She knew I was a minister because it said so on my dental form, so she asked me some questions. She basically wanted to know what I thought about a Christian working for Mormons. She gave me some time to think about it while she cleaned my teeth.

When she was done, I replied and told her the story about Daniel. He was working for a kingship that wasn't Christian. However, him and his friends were able to love and serve God wholeheartedly. He was thrown into the lion's den because of some trickery, but the king ended up praising Daniel's God.

I told this woman that she could find people here that weren't Mormons and lead them to Christ. Also, I stressed the importance of knowing the Bible and what the Mormons believed. Only then can she give an informed refute of their errors. They have tried to get her to become a member of their church, but she attended a service and didn't like it. I told her I attended one, too, and it wasn't right.

I'm getting together an application to teach at New Venture Christian Fellowship. They are beginning a junior high school in the Fall. This is a great church and I know a bunch of people that already work there. My application is almost finished, so I'm happy that I'll get to turn it in, soon. Even if they don't need me for a full or part time job, they should at least put me on their list of substitute teachers. We'll see what God wants!

Tonight, I read six chapters of Genesis! I read from chapter 21 to chapter 27. Genesis is an awesome book. It's great to see how the first people on the Earth behaved. The Bible is a perfect book, but the people in the Bible definitely weren't perfect. It was interesting how Abraham and Isaac both lied about their wife being their sister! Plus, they both lied to the same king Abimelech! Interestingly, the king didn't destroy them, but the text makes it look like he was upset, but had a light heart about it. His attitude was basically, "Why did you lie? Someone could have taken your sister as a wife! Then God would judge us (and probably you *implied*)."

I did my 30/30/30. I prayed, tonight. I was going to pray with Sarine, but she was working on some school work. Therefore, I prayed by myself. It was great to pour everything to God. My singing was done in my van. Praise the Lord.

Sarine and I found about 150 Spanish email addresses for the Spanish devotions! ICQ has a huge database of names, so we searched for "Christian, male/female, Spanish speaking, Mexico residents" of all ages. It only took about 45 minutes and it's great to reach more Spanish speakers. We'll have to go through ICQ and search for Christians in Spain who speak Spanish. I'm sure we'll acquire a bunch more.

Well, my fast is 3/4 done! Wow, it seems like.....about 30 days without food. Haha. At times, this fast has went by very fast. However, at other times, it has crept along.
