22 Reasons For This Fast

1) To experience deeper and continued intimacy with God

2) To obey His command to fast

3) To have Him reveal deep and awesome things to me, such as

a. my hidden sins

b. truths from His Word that I don't know or understand

c. vision for my ministry

d. where I should live at the end of October

e. who I should live with

4) To have meaningful times of worship - singing and playing the guitar

5) To help understand my urges and cravings for food

6) To pray for the Quest group and services

7) To pray for my future

8) To do something that my Lord and Savior did

9) To hear God's voice better

10) To experience Promise Keepers and some Christian concerts while fasting

11) To know what some of the great, godly men went through

12) To experience one of the awesome feats of Christianity, before we are raptured and I do not have a chance to do so

13) To pray about my future in teaching

14) To pray for miracles (see my list of miracles), which includes my finances

15) To pray for my friends and family, unsaved people, this nation, etc.

16) To feel God's presence in a variety of situations

17) To realize where my spiritual battles lie and to know that I can win them with God's help

18) I feel God leading me into a much longer fast than I've ever done; a fast for 40 days.

19) To pray for healing - my back, my finger, my vision and my psoriasis

20) To acquire great spiritual insight and strength

21) To pray for the presidential election

22) To decide if I should get a tattoo of a cross or not

My Diet

broth (chicken broth cubes), water, caffeine-free, diet coke/pepsi/sprite/7-up (no calories, no caffeine), fruit juice - mainly grape, pineapple and apple juices. Plus, possibly carrot, celery, cabbage, or beet, watermelon, peach, lemon and cranberry juices (only if 100% juice). Maximum two cups a day.
