Hello!

I hope you had a great week and weekend!

I've found a great place to live! Praise the Lord. If you know me or have been reading these devotions, you'd know that I've been looking for the place that God wants me. I've found it and it's in Oceanside. Today, I paid my deposit and rent. I'm excited and thankful! Thanks for your prayers and encouragement.

This Wednesday, September 20th, is the National See You at the Pole day! At 7am, at schools across America, kids, teachers, parents and other believers are meeting to pray. Considering going and praying. Let's pray that this world can be more Christ-centered and people can love one another, deeply.

I'm very thankful for Pastor John Hilton from The Rock Church. He is meeting with me and giving me some accountability for my ministry! He may be discipling me, too. We're meeting tomorrow and discussing things.

Do you need to find something on the web? In my experience, no search engine beats www.dogpile.com.

Last Friday, I had a great day of prayer and meditation. I camped in the country, too. If you need an answer from God or simply want to know Him better, I highly recommend getting away and devoting a day to Him. I also read a lot of God's Word. It really came alive, too!

The San Diego Reader is publishing an ad for Wally and I. We are seeking a bassist, drummer and keyboardist to complete our band! Please pray that we find the right people. We need discernment and wisdom as we choose the musicians. This should be an exciting time! I'll keep you posted on what happens next. We have a show, at Berean Bible bookstore, on September 29th! Be there and hear many complete, energetic, original songs and worship songs!

Recently, a cult member has filed a lawsuit against me. He wants his name removed from my false teachers list. He simply sent it to me in an email. There's no way to determine if we'll ever enter a courtroom or anything. I'm thankful for the persecution because this man definitely belongs on my list. Please pray for my safety and for the truth to be known! Don't forget that we have a biblical mandate to tell and reveal the truth.

Please visit my web page! There's over 1500 links (pictures, midis, Bible lessons, humor, proverbial stories, links, devotions, poetry, prayer journals and much more!) and it has registered over 35,355 hits!

If this ministry has touched you in a special way, please pray and consider sending a gift to Jesus Christ Saves Ministries. On the web, I'm encouraging the believers and sharing the gospel with unbelievers. I'm also doing counseling on a regular basis. As I do full-time ministry on the web, love and help others, I never charge them anything for my time or services.

Would you like to support God's work on the web? You can become a Super Supporter of JCSM by sending only $5 a month. You'll be joining us in our vision to reach people on the web with the good news! Of course, a gift of any size will be appreciated! My address and more information is at the bottom of this message.

Welcome to the new screen names or recipients of this message! Here are the devotions, moment of introspection, challenge and quotations for the week. Have a fantastic week and God bless you!

Love in Christ,

Jason J. Gastrich

The Weekly Devotional Message

Day 1: "Evangelize!"

Psalm 96:2, 3 "Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; show forth his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people."

Psalm 107:2 "Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;"

Romans 1:16 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek."

Matthew 28:18-20 "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, 'All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.'"

Prayer: "Thank you for wanting us to share the gospel to the world! Give us boldness and courage, Lord. Remove our worries and fears. Remind us that Heaven and Hell are real places. Give us a great love for the lost. Help us to not worry about what people will think or how they will treat us when they discover that we love You! You are our God and worthy of our love. Forgive us for our hesitation and fear. Let us forgive ourselves and be bold, now. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Day 2: "In Christ"

Romans 6:11, 23 "Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Romans 8:1 "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit."

Romans 12:5 "So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. "

1 Corinthians 15:22 "For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive."

Ephesians 2:10 "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them."

Prayer: "Thank you for letting us be in You, Lord. Let us be dead to sin and alive in Christ. Thank you for creating us and creating us for You. There is no other God like You! Praise You for being so worthy of our love, time and devotion. Let there be unity among the true believers in the Jesus Christ of the Bible. Thank you for saving us and putting our feet on the rock! Give us more love for You and for others, Lord. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Day 3: "Jesus Knew Their Thoughts"

Matthew 9:4 "But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, 'Why do you think evil in your hearts?'"

Matthew 12:25, 26 "But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: 'Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?'"

Luke 6:8 "But He knew their thoughts, and said to the man who had the withered hand, 'Arise and stand here.' And he arose and stood. Then Jesus said to them, 'I will ask you one thing: Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or to destroy?' And when He had looked around at them all, He said to the man, 'Stretch out your hand.' And he did so, and his hand was restored as whole as the other."

Luke 9:47, 48 "And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a little child and set him by Him, and said to them, 'Whoever receives this little child in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me receives Him who sent Me. For he who is least among you all will be great.'"

Prayer: "Praise You for knowing thoughts, Lord! Thank you for knowing them while You walked the Earth and even now, while You are in Heaven. Thank you for being greater than any other prophet or human being. You are the most awesome God in the universe. Forgive us our sins, Lord. Purify us and make us like You. Increase our faith. Let us think good thoughts and live like You would want us to live. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Day 4: "There Was Much More"

John 20:30, 31 "And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name."

John 21:25 "And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen."

Prayer: "Thank you for giving us one more mystery! Remind us that You are greater than we imagine and greater than we know. You have done and will do more awesome miracles. Thank you for the things You have told us. Let us read your Word and remember it. Thank you for being our Creator and the ruler of the universe. Help us to see You as You truly are. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Day 5: "Jesus Said He Was God"

John 13:13 "You call Me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am."

John 14:9, 10 "Jesus said to him, 'Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, 'Show us the Father'? Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works."

John 8:58, 59 "Jesus said to them, 'Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.' Then they took up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by."

John 10:24-27 "Then the Jews surrounded Him and said to Him, 'How long do You keep us in doubt? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly.' Jesus answered them, 'I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father's name, they bear witness of Me. But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you. My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me."

John 10:30 "I and My Father are one."

Prayer: "Dear Lord, thank you for proclaiming that You are God! Help us to understand your divinity and the humanity you wore on Earth. Praise You for being perfect and holy! We aren't worthy of your salvation or your favor. Thank you for your awesome grace and faithful mercy! No other God offers a better plan for us. Thank you for always being with us and never leaving. Remind us that You are very near. Thank you for the scriptures and what they teach us. Let us learn them and apply them. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Day 6: "In His Hands"

John 10:28, 29 "And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand."

Psalm 95:5 "The sea is His, for He made it; And His hands formed the dry land."

Psalm 111:7 "The works of His hands are verity and justice; All His precepts are sure."

Mark 6:2 "And when the Sabbath had come, He began to teach in the synagogue. And many hearing Him were astonished, saying, 'Where did this Man get these things? And what wisdom is this which is given to Him, that such mighty works are performed by His hands!'"

Mark 8:25 "Then He put His hands on his eyes again and made him look up. And he was restored and saw everyone clearly."

Mark 10:16 "And He took them up in His arms, laid His hands on them, and blessed them."

Prayer: "Thank you for the mighty works of your hands, Lord! You are powerful. Praise You for holding the universe together! Praise You for healing the sick and blessing people. Thank you for creating the Earth. You are an awesome Creator! Thank you for the sunset, the beach, the mountains and the deserts. Let us see your works and glorify You, Lord. Thank you for holding us in your hands. Thank you that nobody can steal us from You! Praise the Lord! In Jesus' name, Amen."

Day 7: "Your Faith Can Make You Well"

Luke 18:42, 43 "Then Jesus said to him, 'Receive your sight; your faith has made you well.' And immediately he received his sight, and followed Him, glorifying God. And all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God."

Matthew 9:22 "But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, 'Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well.' And the woman was made well from that hour."

Mark 10:52 "Then Jesus said to him, "Go your way; your faith has made you well.' And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road."

Luke 17:15, 16, 19 "And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan. And He said to him, 'Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.'"

Prayer: "Thank you for the power of faith, Lord! Remind us that You can do incredible things, beyond our imagination! Help us to pray for miracles and believe they can happen. Thank you for the awesome miracles that we have seen You do. Let us not forget them. Teach us your ways, Lord. Help us to have more faith in You. Thank you for helping us believe and showing us mighty things. Forgive us for limiting You in our minds. Expand our concept of You! Remind us that Your ways are above our ways and Your thoughts are higher than our thoughts. Help us to remember that You see perfect solutions for our problems, not simply quick fixes or earthly solutions. Praise You for your perfection and holiness! Please do miracles in our lives, Lord, and help us to live a supernatural life. Remind us that we will want to have trusted You more when we're with You. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Challenge

There are two challenges this week, but I know you can do them! The first one is to make a list of miracles you want God to do. This will only take a couple minutes. You could type them in your computer. Make this list and then pray for them to happen. God can do anything! Pray big and believe!

The second challenge is to make a prayer list. Your friends and family need prayer. It's easy to pray for ourselves and it can be easy to skip prayer altogether. However, we should never neglect the open line of communication that God has given us! He knows we need it and He wants to help us. Praying for others will bring many benefits to your life and theirs. Please take a couple minutes to write a list and pray for others.

These quotes came from God, me, the Inspirational Study Bible (with Max Lucado), Kent Hildebrand, Paul Breithaupt and Miles McPhearson.

These quotes can be used for sanctification and fun. Most of them are directly based on scripture and scriptural principles. Some of my quotes are humorous or rhetorical. Some are written from sermons and Bible studies. Others are lyrics from songs. Like most verses in the Bible, they can be debated. To use what I have written in the most beneficial way, try and trace them back to the scriptures they were derived from and apply the true principles to your life in a meaningful way! Please don't sell my quotes or publish them for profit. If English is not your first language, you may not understand some of the quotes. I'm sorry, but some of them are English metaphors and deal with multiple word meanings. God bless you all!

Please make a commitment to pray for this ministry. As every believer is tempted and tried, this ministry faces trials also. God has blessed me, JCSM and the people who have been reached! Unfortunately, the enemy knows this and spiritual warfare is the result. Please, at least pray that the devotions continue to be sent religiously, the web pages stay on the www and the subscribers are blessed, sanctified and protected from evil. Thank you very much in advance!

Do you want to help people receive the good news? I have sent nearly 500,000 emails, encouraging people with God's Word! Please join me in the great commission. I'm reaching new people every day with God's awesome Word! If God has blessed you and you wish to send a love offering to me and my ministry, please send it to the address below.

3431 Seabreeze Walk

Oceanside, Ca 92056

You can help this ministry! Your donations will keep my ministries running and they further my visions for evangelism. The internet, the telephone (volunteering time for the Youth Crisis hotline), the guitar, singing and gospel tracts are some ways that I encourage people and lead them to Christ. I'm certain there will be more ways to reach people in the future. Along with getting support, I also give support! I regularly give to my church and frequently give to needy people. Lastly, I do a lot of research on religious topics on the internet and at the library. You will definitely see the results of my work on my web page and in the weekly messages!

For more about me and my service history, go to http://resume.jcsm.org. For what I do, my ministries and giving, go to http://vision.jcsm.org

If you have received these devotions from someone other than I, please email me and I will send them to you, personally, each week. Don't worry, I don't send forwards or any other junk mail. I also refrain from giving your name to anyone. Also, email me if you wish to be removed from this list. If you prefer to receive the devotions in Spanish or French, please email me and I'll send you them each week in either Spanish or French!

If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, please email me! I would love to share the gospel with you. The Bible is very straightforward when it speaks about Heaven, Hell and eternal life. If there is any doubt that you are going to Heaven when you die, please let me know today!

Are you having trouble in life? Do you need someone to talk to? You can call the youth crisis hotline at 1-800-HIT-HOME, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I'm currently volunteering time for this hotline. Our motto is "help, not hassle". We will listen to you and encourage you. If you are hurting and need someone to talk to, please feel free to call. YDI pays for these calls and has helped over 1 million people! They are also looking for people to answer calls. Their web site is at www.1800hithome.com

Would you like to feed starving people by simply clicking a button and paying absolutely nothing? Sponsors pay to donate food to hungry people all over the world. I click this nearly every day. It takes about 10 seconds and it donates food to needy people! Go here: www.thehungersite.com

JCSM now does regular mailings! If you are getting rid of your email or know someone who wants the devotions, but doesn't have email, please give me their address and we'll send them the devotions. If you don't have internet access, but want to read a certain web page or Bible lesson, let me know. I could copy and paste something into an email message for you.

Since April of 1997, the weekly devotional message has been sent on the internet. This message currently reaches 3827 people in 98 countries. To read a list of these countries, go here: http://www.jcsm.org/misc/countries.htm. To read the archived devotions online, go here: http://devos.jcsm.org.
