I pray you’re having a great Monday.

This week, I’ve decided to send you a message that is more important than the devotions. If you’re craving a devotional message, please visit our web site and click on "Devotionals". We have over 200 devotional messages in our archives!

Since you’ve been receiving the devotions for many years (some have been receiving them for a shorter amount of time), what changes have you made? Are you living for Jesus Christ, today?

Christians need to be growing in Christ. We need to eradicate sin from our lives and choose to be godly. We must listen to the Holy Spirit and follow God’s prompting. This isn’t always easy, but it’s always best.

The following are some of the things that Christians do. This is a very simple list, but some people simply may not think about these things because they are so ordinary. Please read the list and see if you need to make any adjustments in your life.

1) Worship God with singing.

2) Pray.

3) Fast.

4) Lift your hands to God.

5) Tithe and give money to Christian ministries.

6) Serve God in your church, a ministry and/or in your community.

7) Read the Bible.

8) Memorize the Bible.

9) Share the gospel with others.

10) Obey God.

11) Fellowship with other Christians.

12) Attend Bible study.

After reading that list, how are you doing? Can you say that you’re doing all of those things on a continual basis? If not, please take a moment - right now - to commit one or more of those areas to God.

Life is short. I just went to my 10 year high school reunion and I can hardly believe it has been 10 years since I graduated high school. You can’t wait until tomorrow to dedicate your entire life to God.

Don’t worry about where you are now. Don’t worry about where you were. Decide today to draw closer to God and make a promise to Him to be closer to Him each day. You can’t change your past, but you can change your future.

If you’ve decided to take a step of faith and follow God more closely, please email me. Unlike a busy pastor of a large church, I’m here whenever you need me. I’ll pray for you and encourage you. I can even keep you accountable.

"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for all of the things You have given to us. Let us glorify You in all that we do. Thank you for taking the amount of devotion we have to you and blessing us. Thank you for being gracious as we’ve given you a part of our lives. Help us to give more to You! Praise You for being so worthy of our time. Let us see things in light of eternity. Let us see our own lives and godliness like You do.

Help each reader of this message to take a step of faith, now. Convict us with your Holy Spirit, Lord. Show us how we can become more like Jesus Christ. Thank you for giving us your awesome Word.

Help us to be well-rounded Christians that complete all 12 things. Forgive us for being half-hearted and half-filled. Remind us that You are ready to shower us with your love and gifts if we will only open our hands and reach for You. Let us see You how You really are.

Thank you for being such a good God that wants to bless us and help us. Forgive us for being prideful and wanting to do everything ourselves. Remind us that only You know the best way every time. Give us great wisdom. Take away our foolishness.

Give the Christians who change and decide to follow You the courage to email me and let me know. Let them know that they are loved and they will be blessed with prayers and encouragement.

Praise You for being our almighty God! There is no other God like You in all of the universe. In Jesus’ name, Amen."
