Hello!

Did you have a great Easter?

Our Easter was super. Family Fellowship Church had a nice service and the quotes in this message show what we learned (plus, more great stuff). Afterwards, my wife and I ate lunch with my great-grandma and parents and saw Ice Age. We hope you had a wonderful time of fellowship with the Savior and your loved ones.

We sent the gospel to over 50,000 people on Saturday and Sunday! Please pray that the Word sinks into them and they turn to Christ. We have about 32 million more people to reach, so please pray for them, too!

Let's pray for Israel's peace. If you've been seeing the news lately, you'll know that they are at war with the Palestinians. It's hard to imagine how they can give land to the Palestinians for peace, especially when they keep killing innocent people with suicide bombers. Plus, God has promised Israel the land they live in from the Mediterranean Sea to the Euphrates River.

I liked reading Chuck Missler's words on this subject. He says, "Whenever I hear about Israel and the West Bank (which refers to the west bank of the Jordan River), I always think to myself, OF WHICH RIVER?". At any rate, let's pray the country becomes peaceful, even though we know that lasting peace will only come twice: when the Anti-Christ comes and signs a seven year peace treaty and when Jesus Christ rules the Earth after His second coming.

We are truly seeing Zechariah's prophecies being fulfilled. Here is one of them. Zechariah 12:3 "On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves." I'm not sure if there is one nation left that hasn't told Israel to give it's land to the Palestinians (or at least let them have some of Israel's land).

Have you ever heard of TV Guardian? The TV Guardian is a device that filters profanity from your television, VCR and DVD player! I'm picking mine up tomorrow (it had to be ordered at my local Christian book store). I'm hoping it works as well as they say it will. I'll write more about it next week. Link: http://ministries.tvguardian.com/preview.

QuickVerse 7.0 is an incredible Bible program. There are several versions of QV and they have everything from Greek and Hebrew dictionaries to books on apologetics. I have been given a special offer for the Standard version ($49). If you're interested in learning more, follow this link for the information. http://www.broderbund.com/Product.asp?OID=4147336 (Priority Code 0040894062).

This week, we updated our World Religions, Cults, Sects and Movements site. There are 70 different groups featured, now. You can check out religions like Animism, Spiritism, Polytheism and much more, here: http://www.jcsm.org/Contents/WorldReligions.htm.

I've been reading "Creation and the Second Coming", by Henry Morris. This book has taught me some awesome things about the future. Dr. Morris has taken Old and New Testament scriptures and shown how they reveal and indicate different weather phenomena in the coming days. I highly recommend it.

Would you like to go backstage with the Newsboys? Well, their web site offers some interesting things....only if you can make it backstage! If you're interested, here is the site and my secret code for exclusive backstage access: http://www.newsboysbackstage.com and type in 0326200224680603.

We've been sending weekly devotional messages for nearly five years. Until now, most of these messages weren't on the web. We went into our files, turned the old devotions into web documents and uploaded them, so you can view them online. There are 141 devotions in this archive! Link: http://www.jcsm.org/OldDevos/DevotionalArchive.htm.

Do you live near the beach? Do you want to leave your mark for God? Shoes of the Fisherman make sandals that have the words "Jesus Loves You" on the bottom of them! As you walk on the sand, they leave behind that message. If you want to see them and learn more, go here: http://www.shoesofthefisherman.com.

Did you know that there's a national service that receives crime tips from ordinary citizens and reports them to the police? If you've witnessed a crime, you should report it. Here is their web site: http://www.wetip.com.

Ureach.com can give you a free 800 number for voice mail. You can receive emails with it and they will be changed into voice messages. This is a free service, but you may receive less service after 30 days.

March was a record month for hits! JCSM received over 3100 hits, which translates into over 100 hits a day. Praise the Lord. Please keep praying that we can reach the entire world.

This summer, I'll be spending some time teaching soccer camps. I'm working with a company that travels around the world and teaches sports to church groups. We will also have the chance to do Bible studies and share the gospel. Please pray that everything goes well. This year, I'll be coaching in Southern California, Arizona and Colorado.

Do you want to move to Costa Rica? Or would you just like some land there for retreats, vacations or retirement? A Christian friend of mine is selling 50 acres in Costa Rica. Her land includes 2 houses and a stream. If you're interested, please see the following site. However, don't email the broker, email me and I'll put you in touch with her, so she can give you the best price. Link: http://www.internationalhomestore.com.

Recently, a shark attack victim lost his foot in Hawaii. He punched the shark in the eye and he let go of his foot, saving his life. Please pray that he recovers and finds God in this tragic situation.

Today was baseball's opening day! Email me if you're a Padres fan!

I hope God blesses you as you grow in Him! Don't grow weary in loving the Lord. He'll show you the way and put your feet on a Rock.

This Sunday is my one year anniversary! My wife and I are still excited to be married. Woohoo! If you ever prayed for us or encouraged us - thank you.

Are you getting this message every week? Are you receiving about twelve pages with this message? If this message isn't reaching you consistently or if it's shortened, you can always find these weekly devotions on our web site! Devotional archive: http://devos.jcsm.org. Plus, if www.jcsm.org isn't working, please try www.jcsm.net.

This is your ministry, so please feel free to link to JCSM and forward these devotions to your friends and family. On the JCSM website, there are over 2000 links (pictures, midis, Bible lessons, humor, proverbial stories, links, devotions, poetry, prayer journals and much more!) and it has registered over 68,000 hits!

Would you like to support God's work on the web? If this ministry has touched you in a special way, please pray and consider sending a gift to JCSM. You can join us in our vision to reach people on the web with the good news! Either email me for more information or simply go here: http://vision.jcsm.org.

If you need to email me, please see the address below. Hitting "reply" to this message won't send an email to me. I'm sorry if this is an inconvenience to you, however, rest assured that I will answer all of the emails I receive.

Welcome to the new recipients of this message! Here are the devotions, challenge, moment of introspection, the Bible word of the week and the quotations for the week. Have a fantastic week and God bless you!

Love in Christ,

Jason J. Gastrich

The Weekly Devotional Message

Day 1: "One Name (Singular, Yet Plural)"

Matthew 28:19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."

Genesis 1:26a "Then God said, Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness."

Acts 4:12 "There is salvation in no other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."

Colossians 3:12 "And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him."

Ephesians 5:20 "Give thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."

Prayer: "Thank you for being our awesome God. Thank you for the mystery of the trinity. Help us to understand that there is one God in three persons. Thank you for telling us all about You in your Word. Help us to read and understand what you've written. Praise You for being consistent and perfect. Praise You for being a relationship in your very character. Help us to see how You operate and have meaningful, sincere relationships, too. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Day 2: "The Place To Be"

Psalm 84:10 "For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand (elsewhere). I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God Than dwell in the tents of wickedness."

Prayer: "Thank you for the wonder of your presence. Let us rest with You, in You. Praise You for giving us unfathomable peace. Thank you for teaching us great things. Thank you for giving us godliness and contentment. Praise You for wanting us to be near You. Help us understand that there's no better place to be than by your side. Thank you for being faithful to us and promising to complete the work You have begun. Remind the ones who have wandered from You that You are awesome and they should return, now. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Day 3: "The Exclusive Path To Heaven"

John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."

John 11:25 "Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live."

Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Acts 4:12 "There is salvation in no other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."

Prayer: "Thank You for giving us a way to Heaven. Let us sincerely love You and accept You as Lord and Savior. Thank you for dying for our sins and rising from the dead. Let us share the gospel with the world, so they can know the way to Heaven, too. Thank you for being the exclusive Savior and the only way. Thank you for being the only God. Praise You for being more powerful than the demons, angels and all other created beings. Let us understand the supernatural, invisible hierarchy that exists and can only exist with You above all else. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Day 4: "Where Are My Sins, Now?"

Psalm 103:12 "As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us."

Colossians 2:13, 14 "And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross."

Prayer: "Thank you for forgiving our sins and removing them from us! Thank you for lifting us up and restoring us. Help us to forgive ourselves, Lord. Help us to live without guilt and only be subject to the convictions of your Holy Spirit. Thank you for nailing our sins to the cross! Let us understand how your death paid the price for all of the sins of humankind; past, present and future. Thank you for loving us enough to forgive us for our sins. Help us to understand your love and to love like You do. Let us forgive others, too. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Day 5: "God Gives Us His Power"

Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

Romans 1:16 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek."

Colossians 1:18 "For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God."

2 Corinthians 12:9 "And He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."

Prayer: "Thank you for the awesome power You give us! Thank you for the saving power of your Word through the gospel of Jesus Christ. Thank you that Jesus' name still makes the demons flee. Thank you that the devils are cast out of people when godly people use Jesus' name. Let us understand the supernatural and eternal power that Jesus is. Forgive us for our uncleanness. Thank you for giving us so much grace and mercy. Thank you for changing us with your awesome power. Let us have more of your power in our lives, Lord. Let us use your power wisely; to edify others and glorify You. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Day 6: "Creator, Redeemer and King"

Colossians 1:16-18 "For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence."

Psalm 19:14 "Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer."

Revelation 17:14 "These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful."

Prayer: "Thank you for being our Creator, Redeemer and King! Thank you for telling us the history of the world, the Middle East, the judges and prophets, many different peoples, Christ and the early church all in your Word! Thank you for being our uncreated Creator. Let us follow the design of our designer. Forgive the ones who want to worship the creation or follow their own will instead of yours. Thank you for ruling the Heavens, now, and promising to set up an earthly reign in the future. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Day 7: "From His Mouth To Existence"

Genesis 1:3 "Then God said, Let there be light; and there was light."

Psalm 33:6 "By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth."

Hebrews 11:3 "By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible."

Prayer: "Praise You for being able to simply speak the words and have something come into existence! Let us understand your power. Praise You for being larger and more incredible than our imagination. Thank you for making us with finite brains. Thank you for showing us the light of your Word and helping us to comprehend what we are beholding. Thank you for being the most beautiful thing we could ever see or find. Remind us that You are to be cherished and worshiped, not simply admired and forgotten. Thank you for being worthy of our entire lives and our entire hearts. Lift us up and help us love You and serve You. To You be all the glory, honor and praise, forever and ever. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Challenge

Forgive yourself for the sins you've already confessed. God has! God bless you as you meet this week's challenge. Please email me if you're taking this step of faith or need prayer.

A Moment of Introspection

Don't prefer monologue to dialogue.

Do you find yourself listening more than you talk or talking more than you listen?

It can be hard to be a good listener. A good listener doesn't think their own thoughts while someone else is talking to them.

Like our relationship with God, we must be talking to Him and listening to Him. Without doing both, we'll develop a poor relationship.

The Bible Word of the Week

Messiah: the expected King and Deliverer of the Jews; Jesus

The Quotations of the Week

Easter wouldn't be the same without Jesus Christ.

There are at least fifteen, reliable references of people meeting a resurrected Jesus Christ.

The faintest line is better than the strongest mind.

Jesus is who He claimed to be.

Jesus did what He promised to do.

My past can be forgiven.

Jesus Christ can help keep our past from ruining our future.

Jesus gives us a guilt-free life.

He was hung for my hang-ups.

Unrepentance damages our lives.

Restoration follows repentance.

God gives me power to overcome my present problems.

Pray for help for the temptations you consistently face.

My future is secure through Christ.

Only a fool would go through life unprepared for death.

Life on Earth is like preschool in view of eternity in Heaven.

This life is just a millimeter on the yardstick of life.

Live your life in a way that the preacher doesn't have to lie at your funeral.

Sitting in a church doesn't make you a Christian any more than sitting in a chicken coup makes you a chicken.

Saying you're not as bad as Hitler is about as nonsensical as saying you can bench press more than your grandmother.

We must profess and possess saving faith in Christ.

The worldwide capitulation toward a humanistic philosophy is the root of worldwide, moral decay.

The Bible teaches a supernatural beginning and end to this world.

Pagan, humanistic beliefs = pagan, humanistic lifestyles.

If the mall and the church disappeared tomorrow, which would people miss most?

Why do people say God doesn't exist, then blame Him when things go wrong?

Don't prefer monologue to dialogue.

Do you ever wonder how many people would go to church if you asked them?

Do you know how to sift through heresies and cling to truths?

It is remarkable what a hold ungodly music has on the hearts of people.

I'd really love to climb my way into your heart and see what I could find.

Change this something normal into something beautiful.

All I can think about is how long I've been waiting to feel You move me.

Be a revolution.

I fan the flames to melt away my pride.

You are the shelter from the rain and the rain to wash me away.

I need You, I need You, I need You. You're all I'm living for.

This old scarlet letter won't keep me from holding You.

I don't know where, I don't know how, I don't know why, but your love can make things better.

I hope that You might settle for this love I have for You.

These quotes came from God, me, the Inspirational Study Bible (with Max Lucado), Henry Morris, Andy Butcher and Mike Robertson.

These quotes can be used for sanctification and fun. Most of them are directly based on scripture and scriptural principles. Some of my quotes are humorous or rhetorical. Some are written from sermons and Bible studies. Others are lyrics from songs. If you'd like me to go into more detail on any of them, please email me.

Like most verses in the Bible, they can be debated. To use what I've written in the most beneficial way, try and trace them back to the scriptures and apply the true principles to your life in a meaningful way! Please don't sell my quotes or publish them for profit. If English is not your first language, you may not understand some of the quotes. I'm sorry, but some of them are English metaphors and deal with multiple word meanings. God bless you all!

Please make a commitment to pray for this ministry. As every believer is tempted and tried, this ministry faces trials also. God has blessed me, JCSM and the people who have been reached! Unfortunately, the enemy knows this and spiritual warfare is the result. Please at least pray that the devotions continue to be sent religiously, the web pages stay on the www and the subscribers are blessed, sanctified and protected from evil. Thank you very much in advance!

Do you want to help people receive the good news? We share the gospel over 2.5 million times each year! Please join us in the great commission. We're reaching new people every day with God's awesome Word! If God has blessed you and you wish to send a love offering to me and my ministry, please email me and I'll give you our mailing address.

You can join our vision and help this ministry! Your donations will keep these ministries running and further our visions for evangelism. Hundreds of web pages have been created to lead people to the Lord. Frequently, we make new ones and they are used to bring more and more people into a closer relationship with Jesus Christ. We're certain there will be more ways to reach people in the future.

Along with getting support, we also give support! JCSM regularly gives to churches and needy people. Another function of this ministry is to do counseling. We are always answering questions about life, the Lord and everything in between. Lastly, we do a lot of research on religious topics on the internet and library. You will definitely see the results of our hard work and your loving support, in the web pages, and in the weekly devotions!

For more about me and my service history, go to http://resume.jcsm.org. For what I do, my ministries and giving, go to http://vision.jcsm.org.

If you have received these devotions from someone other than JCSM, please email us and we will send them to you, personally, each week. Don't worry. We don't send forwards or any other junk mail. Plus, we refrain from giving your name to anyone.

The devotions are sent on Mondays, our Bible lesson is sent on Thursdays, the gospel is sent on the 11th of every month and the monthly newsletter is sent on the 20th. These are the only messages we send, however, please email me us you wish to be removed from this list.

If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, please email me! I would love to share the gospel with you. The Bible is very straightforward when it speaks about Heaven, Hell and eternal life. If there is any doubt that you are going to Heaven when you die, please let me know today!

Are you having trouble in life and need someone to talk to? You can call the youth crisis hotline at 1-800-HIT-HOME, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Their motto is "help, not hassle". YDI pays for these calls and has helped over 1 million people! They are also looking for people to answer calls. Their web site is at www.1800hithome.com.

Would you like to feed starving people by simply clicking a button and paying absolutely nothing? Sponsors pay to donate food to hungry people all over the world. I click these nearly every day. It takes about 10 seconds and it donates food to needy people! Go here: www.stopthehunger.com and here www.thehungersite.com.

Go here to donate free Bibles to people: www.TheBibleSite.org. If you want to join a Christian organization that helps feed and clothe poor people, check into World Vision. You can see their site here: www.worldvision.com. Compassion International is another, great Christian organization that rivals World Vision. You can visit them here: www.ci.org.

Do you believe in evolution? If you can prove that the evolution of species has happened, Dr. Dino will give you $250,000. I know Kent Hovind and this is a legitimate offer. For more information, please see his web site: http://www.drdino.com.

JCSM now does regular mailings! If you are getting rid of your email or know someone who wants the devotions, but doesn't have email, please give us their address and we'll send them the devotions. If you don't have internet access, but want to read a certain web page or Bible lesson, let us know. We can copy and paste something into an email message for you. If you have internet access and need a great, online, study Bible, go here: www.biblestudytools.net. I recommend using either the King James Version or the New King James Version Bible.

JCSM operates in Oceanside, California, United States. This ministry has been certified by the Evangelical Ministries to New Religions. EMNR is an accrediting body for sound, Christian ministries that preach the true gospel of God to people in other religions and cults. Their web site is located here: http://www.emnr.org.

Since April of 1997, the weekly devotional message has been sent on the internet. This message currently reaches over 39,000 people in 99 countries. To read a list of these countries, go here: http://www.jcsm.org/misc/countries.htm. To read the archived devotions online, go here: http://devos.jcsm.org.
