On March 5, Jars of Clay is releasing "The Eleventh Hour" album! If you prepay for it, you can get a free JOC DVD. Check your Christian music and book stores for details. Their new album has gotten awesome reviews in CCM magazine.

Last night, I complied a list of 30 awesome links about Islam and Terrorism. If you want to research terrorist groups, learn about radical and non-radical Islam, Osama bin Laden and much more, you need to see this site. Link: http://www.jcsm.org/ResearchIslam.htm.

Is your computer freezing up? Do you spend a lot of time on the web? If you answered yes to either of those questions, you could use the Window Washer! I downloaded this program and it helps me by easily erasing my cache, temp and history files. You may be amazed at the number of these files you have and how they are making your computer run slowly. Here is the link for the free download: http://download.cnet.com/downloads/0-3356727-100-7330687.html.

Do you have a lot of pictures on your computer? Did you know that a lot of programs keep large, useless picture files on your computer and they're taking up valuable space? Well, if you'd like to see them all and decide whether or not to delete them, the JPG Cleaner could help! Link: http://download.cnet.com/downloads/0-10077-107-8770848.html?tag=dir.

The Weekly Devotional Message

Day 1: "Our Crucifixion"

Luke 9:23-25 "Then He said to them all, If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost?"

Romans 8:13 "For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live."

1 Corinthians 15:31 "I affirm, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily."

Galatians 5:24 "And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires."

Prayer: "Thank you for wanting us to be crucified within, so we can live abundantly. Help us to understand the supernatural natures of your desires for us. Let us put down our foolish and vain desires. Give us humility, Lord. Thank you for wanting us to drop and lose things that we really need to drop and lose! Thank you for giving us wisdom when we need it. Give us more wisdom, Lord. Forgive us for having a half-hearted devotion to You. Give us your mercy and patience, Lord. Let us understand the depths of your love and let us mimic You. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Day 2: "The Flesh vs. The Spirit"

Galatians 5:16-18 "I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law."

Matthew 26:41 "Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."

1 Corinthians 2:14, 15 "But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one."

Romans 8:1 "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit."

Prayer: "Thank you for warning us about the flesh. Help us to submit to the Spirit and not the flesh! Forgive us for falling short. Remind us to feed the Spirit and not the flesh. Give us knowledge, so we can differentiate between the two. Thank you for being our awesome God. Thank you for giving us more strength than we could ever imagine. Let us see how harkening to the flesh's desires has ruined others and let it be a stern warning to listen to You. Thank you for giving us wisdom by seeing other people go through trials. Help us to learn and not have to experience sin to learn from it. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Day 3: "He Wants You To 'Know' You Have Eternal Life!"

John 6:47 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life."

John 10:27, 28 "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand."

1 John 5:13 "These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God."

Prayer: "Thank you for wanting us to know that we have eternal life! Thank you for giving us eternal security. Help the ones who do not have this. Praise You for giving us your awesome Word. Let us read it, apply it and understand it. Thank you for wanting us to live a life of faith and not a life of doubt. Thank you for loving us enough to save us from the moment that we confess You and confess our sins. Since we've been justified, let us be sanctified until the day of the Lord. To You be all the glory, honor and praise! In Jesus' name, Amen."

Day 4: "Your House"

Proverb 14:1 "The wise woman builds her house, But the foolish pulls it down with her hands."

1 Peter 3:1, 2 "Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives, when they observe your chaste conduct accompanied by fear."

1 Corinthians 11:3 "But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God."

Ephesians 6:4 "And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord."

Ephesians 5:21-29 "Submit to one another in the fear of God. Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church."

Prayer: "Thank you for telling us how our house should operate. Let every believer have a house that honors You and your perfect and holy will. Thank you for giving us a perfect design, so we can pattern our lives after it. Thank you for giving us your Holy Spirit, so we can be changed into your perfect image. Forgive us for falling short of your glorious ideal. Give us more passion and determination to become Christlike. Thank you for waiting for us and prodding us along. You are our great and mighty God! In Jesus' name, Amen."

Day 5: "It's No Act - Here's How We Should Be"

Galatians 5:22, 23 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law."

1 John 2:5 "But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him."

1 John 5:2 "By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments."

Micah 6:8 "He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?"

Prayer: "Thank you for telling us what You want for us. Thank you for never changing or tricking us. Thank you for telling us plainly and honestly what You want and what we need. Let us read your Word, discover these things and obey You. Give us all the fruit of your Spirit, Lord. Help us to pray and seek the things of God. Give us humility before You, so we can drop our pride and admit You know best and you are God. Thank you for wanting perfection from us and actually making us closer and closer to perfection. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Day 6: "Purity and Holiness"

Leviticus 11:44a "For I am the LORD your God. You shall therefore consecrate yourselves, and you shall be holy; for I am holy."

Psalm 29:2 "Give unto the LORD the glory due to His name; Worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness."

Romans 6:19, 22 "I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves of uncleanness, and of lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves of righteousness for holiness. But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life."

2 Corinthians 7:1 "Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God."

Ephesians 4:24 "Put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness."

1 Timothy 4:2 "Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity."

Prayer: "Give us more purity and holiness, Lord. Sanctify us and remove our transgressions. Purify our hearts. Reveal to us hidden sins, so we can confess them and draw closer to You! Thank you for being such a good God that promises to finish the work you began in us. Praise You for being holy and the model of holiness. Thank you for showing us how a human should be like the almighty God by sending Jesus Christ to Earth to show us these things. Help us to grasp the depths of our depravity and the depths of your love, Lord. Thanks for your mercy and kindness. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Day 7: "The Fellowship of the Faithful"

Hebrews 10:24, 25 "And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching."

1 John 3:17 "But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?"

1 John 4:20, 21 "f someone says, I love God, and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also."

Acts 2:42 "And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers."

2 Corinthians 6:14 "Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?"

Ephesians 5:11 "And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them."

1 John 1:7 "But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin."

Prayer: "Thank you for providing Christian friends for us. Let us not neglect or ignore them. Thank you for giving us places to meet and have fellowship. Forgive us for being aloof or negligent in our relationships. Let us be genuine and love one another. Thank you for the people who have taken time to love us and be there for us. Let us do the same and be like Christ. Forgive us for being unkind or too nonchalant in our relationships. Let us love others like You would. Help us to pray for our friends, family and pastors. Help us to pray fervently. Thank you for all of the friends in our past who took time to talk to us, laugh with us, pray with us, etc. Let us say prayers for them. Help us to be friendly and loving to people who have no friends. Let us be sensitive to the people around us. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Challenge

How fast do you drive on the freeway? Do your friends or family ever tell you to slow down?

The signs on the sides of the roads and freeways aren't suggestions. Signs that read, "55 Maximum Speed" or "65 Speed Limit" aren't just nice options. They are the laws that we must obey.

According to 1 Corinthians 13, we should obey the speed laws (and the other laws, unless they break God's laws). This week's challenge is to drive the speed limit.

You will find many blessings as you meet this week's challenge. You will get better gas mileage, have more peace and be doing God's will as you drive and arrive at your destinations. Don't underestimate the possibility for more blessings or the reality of the sin that accompanies speeding.

God bless you as you meet this week's challenge! I've been blessed since I've been taking this step of faith! My car has gotten over 40 miles per gallon of gas and I've been given a lot of peace and blessings as I've been obedient to God!

The Bible Word of the Week

conscience: the sense of consciousness of the moral goodness or blameworthiness of one's own conduct, intentions, or character together with a feeling of obligation to do right or be good

The Quotations of the Week

Don't satisfy or pacify your flesh.

Some people are dabbling in lust and other fleshly things.

Go into the battle with the devil and simply spar with him; knock him out.

Don't satisfy the flesh. Crucify it.

Don't live according to what you think and feel and want. Live according to what God thinks and feels and wants.

Fasting is an act of soul affliction.

When you deny yourself of food or something, satisfy yourself with the Lord.

If you don't repent and seek God during your fasts, you're simply on a diet.

Your flesh will never tell you what God wants you to do.

Our flesh is self-centered, arrogant, and sinful.

You can't train or educate yourself sinful nature. You have to die to it.

Don't let your flesh speak to you. It will only speak to y

The flesh fights against the spirit.

Your Spirit will tell you to read three chapters and your flesh will tell you to read one verse.

Your Spirit and your flesh will never make a deal to be friends.

Since the mouth speaks from the overflow of the heart, we can estimate that if there are some curse words coming out of your mouth, for example, there are probably many more inside of you that are waiting to come out.

The Devil hates you and he is not messing around.

If you mess around with your flesh, you will be burned.

The flesh is weak all week.

Fleshly desires are persistent, but thankfully, so is God's Spirit.

The flesh cannot understand, receive, comprehend or accept the Spirit.

Nothing in this body should demand attention so much that I can't set it aside for You.

God may tell you to get rid of all the things that you think make you happy.

These quotes came from God, me, the Inspirational Study Bible (with Max Lucado) and Miles McPhearson.

These quotes can be used for sanctification and fun. Most of them are directly based on scripture and scriptural principles. Some of my quotes are humorous or rhetorical. Some are written from sermons and Bible studies. Others are lyrics from songs. If you'd like me to go into more detail on any of them, please email me.

Like most verses in the Bible, they can be debated. To use what I've written in the most beneficial way, try and trace them back to the scriptures and apply the true principles to your life in a meaningful way! Please don't sell my quotes or publish them for profit. If English is not your first language, you may not understand some of the quotes. I'm sorry, but some of them are English metaphors and deal with multiple word meanings. God bless you all!

Please make a commitment to pray for this ministry. As every believer is tempted and tried, this ministry faces trials also. God has blessed me, JCSM and the people who have been reached! Unfortunately, the enemy knows this and spiritual warfare is the result. Please at least pray that the devotions continue to be sent religiously, the web pages stay on the www and the subscribers are blessed, sanctified and protected from evil. Thank you very much in advance!

Do you want to help people receive the good news? We share the gospel over 2.5 million times each year! Please join us in the great commission. We're reaching new people every day with God's awesome Word! If God has blessed you and you wish to send a love offering to me and my ministry, please email me and I'll give you our mailing address.

You can join our vision and help this ministry! Your donations will keep these ministries running and further our visions for evangelism. Hundreds of web pages have been created to lead people to the Lord. Frequently, we make new ones and they are used to bring more and more people into a closer relationship with Jesus Christ. We're certain there will be more ways to reach people in the future.

Along with getting support, we also give support! JCSM regularly gives to churches and needy people. Another function of this ministry is to do counseling. We are always answering questions about life, the Lord and everything in between. Lastly, we do a lot of research on religious topics on the internet and library. You will definitely see the results of our hard work and your loving support, in the web pages, and in the weekly devotions!

For more about me and my service history, go to http://resume.jcsm.org. For what I do, my ministries and giving, go to http://vision.jcsm.org.

If you have received these devotions from someone other than JCSM, please email us and we will send them to you, personally, each week. Don't worry. We don't send forwards or any other junk mail. Plus, we refrain from giving your name to anyone.

The devotions are sent on Sunday nights. The gospel is sent on the 11th of every month and the monthly newsletter is sent on the 20th. These are the only messages we send, however, please email me us you wish to be removed from this list.

If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, please email me! I would love to share the gospel with you. The Bible is very straightforward when it speaks about Heaven, Hell and eternal life. If there is any doubt that you are going to Heaven when you die, please let me know today!

Are you having trouble in life and need someone to talk to? You can call the youth crisis hotline at 1-800-HIT-HOME, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Their motto is "help, not hassle". YDI pays for these calls and has helped over 1 million people! They are also looking for people to answer calls. Their web site is at www.1800hithome.com.

Would you like to feed starving people by simply clicking a button and paying absolutely nothing? Sponsors pay to donate food to hungry people all over the world. I click these nearly every day. It takes about 10 seconds and it donates food to needy people! Go here: www.stopthehunger.com and here www.thehungersite.com.

Go here to donate free Bibles to people: www.TheBibleSite.org. If you want to join a Christian organization that helps feed and clothe poor people, check into World Vision. You can see their site here: www.worldvision.com. Compassion International is another, great Christian organization that rivals World Vision. You can visit them here: www.ci.org.

Do you believe in evolution? If you can prove that the evolution of species has happened, Dr. Dino will give you $250,000. I know Kent Hovind and this is a legitimate offer. For more information, please see his web site: http://www.drdino.com.

JCSM now does regular mailings! If you are getting rid of your email or know someone who wants the devotions, but doesn't have email, please give us their address and we'll send them the devotions. If you don't have internet access, but want to read a certain web page or Bible lesson, let us know. We can copy and paste something into an email message for you. If you have internet access and need a great, online, study Bible, go here: www.biblestudytools.net. I recommend using either the King James Version or the New King James Version Bible.

JCSM operates in Oceanside, California, United States. This ministry has been certified by the Evangelical Ministries to New Religions. EMNR is an accrediting body for sound, Christian ministries that preach the true gospel of God to people in other religions and cults. Their web site is located here: http://www.emnr.org.

Since April of 1997, the weekly devotional message has been sent on the internet. This message currently reaches over 39,000 people in 99 countries.
