Over 2000 Links!
Hello and Happy Monday!
Did you watch the Super Bowl? If you did, I'm sure you enjoyed the really close game between the Rams and Patriots. I was rooting for the Rams, but I'm glad it was an exciting game; even though they lost.
The Koinonia House has a lot of great, online Bible studies. If you'd like to see the links and the Bible studies, just go here: http://www.khouse.org/articles/biblestudy/.
Did you know that there is a difference between the Rapture and Christ's 2nd Coming? Well, there is! The scriptures describe these future events in extremely different ways. Nonetheless, sometimes people get confused and misunderstand these things. If you'd like a plain, scriptural explanation, please go here: http://www.raptureme.com/rap54.html.
This Saturday, I'm attending the Steeling the Mind Conference in Anaheim! Some very dynamic Christians like Kent Hovind, Ed Hindson, Chuck Missler and Frank Peretti will be speaking. If you'd like to see about the conference, here is their web site: http://www.compass.org.
Let's pray for the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. They begin on the 8th of February. Please pray for the safety of the athletes and attendees. Plus, we need to pray for the evangelization of the Mormons and hope they don't evangelize everyone else.
God bless you as you grow in Him! Keep looking to God for love, counsel and good things. When you draw close to Him, you will see Him and be blessed.
Are you receiving about twelve pages with this message? If this message is truncated, and perhaps you're only receiving half of it, you can always find these devotions on our web site! Simply go here: http://devos.jcsm.org. Plus, if www.jcsm.org isn't working, please try www.jcsm.net.
This is your ministry, so please feel free to link to JCSM and forward these devotions to your friends and family. On the JCSM website, there are over 2000 links (pictures, midis, Bible lessons, humor, proverbial stories, links, devotions, poetry, prayer journals and much more!) and it has registered over 63,000 hits!
Would you like to support God's work on the web? If this ministry has touched you in a special way, please pray and consider sending a gift to JCSM. You can join us in our vision to reach people on the web with the good news! Please email me or for more information.
Welcome to the new recipients of this message! Here are the devotions, challenge and the Bible word of the week. Have a fantastic week and God bless you!
Love in Christ,

The Weekly Devotional Message
Day 1: "God's Rhetorical Questions"
Isaiah 40:12-14, 18 "Who has measured the waters in the hollow of His hand, Measured heaven with a span And calculated the dust of the earth in a measure? Weighed the mountains in scales And the hills in a balance? Who has directed the Spirit of the LORD, Or as His counselor has taught Him? With whom did He take counsel, and who instructed Him, And taught Him in the path of justice? Who taught Him knowledge, And showed Him the way of understanding? To whom then will you liken God? Or what likeness will you compare to Him?"
Romans 11:34-36 "'For who has known the mind of the LORD? Or who has become His counselor? Or who has first given to Him And it shall be repaid to him?' For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen."
Job 41:1-11 "Can you draw out Leviathan with a hook, Or snare his tongue with a line which you lower? Can you put a reed through his nose, Or pierce his jaw with a hook? Will he make many supplications to you? Will he speak softly to you? Will he make a covenant with you? Will you take him as a servant forever? Will you play with him as with a bird, Or will you leash him for your maidens? Will your companions make a banquet of him? Will they apportion him among the merchants? Can you fill his skin with harpoons, Or his head with fishing spears? Lay your hand on him; Remember the battle--Never do it again! Indeed, any hope of overcoming him is false; Shall one not be overwhelmed at the sight of him? No one is so fierce that he would dare stir him up. Who then is able to stand against Me? Who has preceded Me, that I should pay him? Everything under heaven is Mine."
Isaiah 40:28-31 "Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint."
Prayer: "Thank You, God, for simply wanting us to think. Help us to think deeply. Thank you for giving us your awesome Word, that challenges all people to think, analyze and meditate. Give us self-control, so we can make time to think about You and your Word. Thank you for being beyond our comprehension, thus giving us the opportunity to spend all of our earthly years seeking and finding more of You. Give us great wisdom. Let us pursue the wisdom that You give and deny the world's kind of wisdom. Thank you for being so good! In Jesus' name, Amen."
Day 2: "The Holy One"
Isaiah 40:25 "'To whom then will you liken Me, Or to whom shall I be equal?' says the Holy One."
Proverb 9:10 "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding."
Luke 1:35 "And the angel answered and said to her, 'The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.'"
Acts 13:35-37 "Therefore He also says in another Psalm: 'You will not allow Your Holy One to see corruption.' For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell asleep, was buried with his fathers, and saw corruption; but He whom God raised up saw no corruption."
Luke 4:34, 35 ""Let us alone! What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? Did You come to destroy us? I know who You are--the Holy One of God! But Jesus rebuked him, saying, 'Be quiet, and come out of him!' And when the demon had thrown him in their midst, it came out of him and did not hurt him."
Leviticus 11:44a "For I am the LORD your God. You shall therefore consecrate yourselves, and you shall be holy; for I am holy."
Prayer: "Thank you for being the only, truly Holy One! Thank you for prophesying about the Holy One named Jesus Christ. Bless us and make us like You, Lord. Give us more knowledge of You. Let us read and memorize more of your Word. Praise You for being perfect and holy. Help us understand your holiness. Thank you for our imperfection and how you love us, nonetheless. Convict us when we sin and help us to repent and become more holy. Thank you for letting us have your Holy Spirit. Thank you for how it convicts us to holiness. In Jesus' name, Amen."
Day 3: "Make God the Center"
Matthew 6:33 "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you."
Luke 14:26 "If anyone comes to Me and does not love less his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple."
Luke 9:23-25 "Then He said to them all, If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost?"
Prayer: "Thank you for wanting us to make you first. Thank you for not being an afterthought or a buzzword. Thank you for being the way, the truth and the life. Let us understand your character more and more. Forgive us for putting other things in your place and help us to put and keep You in the center of our lives. Thank you for having patience on us when we don't put You first. Help us to be humble and exalt You - the maker of all things. Thank you for knowing how to direct us in the right ways. In Jesus' name, Amen."
Day 4: "Lift Up the Lord"
Psalm 7:17 "I will praise the LORD according to His righteousness, And will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High."
Psalm 99:5 "Exalt the LORD our God, And worship at His footstool--He is holy."
Psalm 30:1 "I will extol You, O LORD, for You have lifted me up, And have not let my foes rejoice over me."
Prayer: "Praise You, Lord! Praise You for being the God of all gods. Thank you for being the most powerful King in the universe. Let us serve and worship You first and foremost. Thank you for giving us so much more than we deserve! Thank you for having ways and thoughts that are higher than ours. Thank you for being so worthy of our praise! Help us to praise You more and more, Lord. Give us strength and endurance to praise You through our pain and through our successes. Thank you for lifting us up. Thank you for ministering to us when we obey You. Let us not forget what You have done or who You are. In Jesus' name, Amen."
Day 5: "The Winning Team"
Philippians 3:20, 21 "For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself."
Hebrews 12:1, 2 "Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."
1 Thessalonians 5:5-7 "You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation."
Ephesians 1:4-6 "He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved."
Prayer: "Thank you for including us on your winning team! Help us to see that we should all try and get along. Thank you for all of our brothers and sisters in Christ. Help us to know who is following the gospel of Jesus Christ. Thank you for overcoming the world and giving us the Holy Spirit to help us overcome it. Thank you for saving us from Hell! Thank you for creating Heaven. Help us to spend our energy, effort and time spreading the gospel and pursuing You. Thank you for choosing us and letting us choose You! Save more people, Lord. Enlighten the ones that think there is no God. Let more people know You. In Jesus' name, Amen."
Day 6: "A Very Quick Moment"
1 Corinthians 15:51, 52 "Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed--in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."
Revelation 3:3 "Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you."
Prayer: "Thank you for wanting us to be prepared for the rapture. Thank you for wanting us to plan and not leave things to the last minute; partly because we do not know when that minute will be. Thank you for being a just and righteous God. Motivate the elect to seek You wholeheartedly. Forgive each apathetic believer. Thank you for having great mercy, grace and kindness. Help us to seek You, repent, spread the gospel and do everything You command us to do, now. Let all believers feel, know and sense the urgency of the times we live in. Thank you for giving us your Word and showing us great things that were prophesied thousands of years ago. To You be all the glory, honor and praise! In Jesus' name, Amen."
Day 7: "Joyful Waiting"
Romans 15:5, 6 "Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus, that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ."
2 Thessalonians 3:5 "Now may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ."
Colossians 1:10, 11 "Walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy."
Prayer: "Increase our joy, Lord. Help us not to be lifelong 'suffering servants' that don't have any joy. Thank you for wanting us to smile and be happy. Remind us that being holy has nothing to do with being sad or ultraconservative. Thank you for the times that You make us wait. Help us to wait with joy! Thank you for the situations that You give us. Let us see them from your perspective and not from our own. Forgive us for being shortsighted and fearful. Forgive us for being selfish and proud. Thank you for the joy that You give us when we are accepting of your perfect will. In Jesus' name, Amen."
Challenge
Share the weekly devotions with a friend or family member! Just click forward and write them a little note with this message. It will encourage them and lead them to Christ.
God bless you as you meet this week's challenge!
The Bible Word of the Week
adoption: to take by choice into a relationship, to take voluntarily as one's own child
Please make a commitment to pray for this ministry. As every believer is tempted and tried, this ministry faces trials also. God has blessed me, JCSM and the people who have been reached! Unfortunately, the enemy knows this and spiritual warfare is the result. Please at least pray that the devotions continue to be sent religiously, the web pages stay on the www and the subscribers are blessed, sanctified and protected from evil. Thank you very much in advance!
Do you want to help people receive the good news? We share the gospel over 2.5 million times each year! Please join us in the great commission. We're reaching new people every day with God's awesome Word! If God has blessed you and you wish to send a love offering to me and my ministry, please email me and I'll give you our mailing address.
You can join our vision and help this ministry! Your donations will keep these ministries running and further our visions for evangelism. Hundreds of web pages have been created to lead people to the Lord. Frequently, we make new ones and they are used to bring more and more people into a closer relationship with Jesus Christ. We're certain there will be more ways to reach people in the future.
Along with getting support, we also give support! JCSM regularly gives to churches and needy people. Another function of this ministry is to do counseling. We are always answering questions about life, the Lord and everything in between. Lastly, we do a lot of research on religious topics on the internet and library. You will definitely see the results of our hard work and your loving support, in the web pages, and in the weekly devotions!
For more about me and my service history, go to http://resume.jcsm.org. For what I do, my ministries and giving, go to http://vision.jcsm.org.
If you have received these devotions from someone other than JCSM, please email us and we will send them to you, personally, each week. Don't worry. We don't send forwards or any other junk mail. Plus, we refrain from giving your name to anyone.
The devotions are sent on Saturday and Sunday nights. The gospel is sent on the 11th of every month and the monthly newsletter is sent on the 20th. These are the only messages we send, however, please email me us you wish to be removed from this list. If you prefer to receive the devotions in Spanish, send us a request because the devotions have been reaching the Spanish speaking community for over a year!
If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, please email me! I would love to share the gospel with you. The Bible is very straightforward when it speaks about Heaven, Hell and eternal life. If there is any doubt that you are going to Heaven when you die, please let me know today!
Are you having trouble in life and need someone to talk to? You can call the youth crisis hotline at 1-800-HIT-HOME, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Their motto is "help, not hassle". YDI pays for these calls and has helped over 1 million people! They are also looking for people to answer calls. Their web site is at www.1800hithome.com.
Would you like to feed starving people by simply clicking a button and paying absolutely nothing? Sponsors pay to donate food to hungry people all over the world. I click these nearly every day. It takes about 10 seconds and it donates food to needy people! Go here: www.stopthehunger.com and here www.thehungersite.com.
Go here to donate free Bibles to people: www.TheBibleSite.org. If you want to join a Christian organization that helps feed and clothe poor people, check into World Vision. You can see their site here: www.worldvision.com. Compassion International is another, great Christian organization that rivals World Vision. You can visit them here: www.ci.org.
Do you believe in evolution? If you can prove that the evolution of species has happened, Dr. Dino will give you $250,000. I know Kent Hovind and this is a legitimate offer. For more information, please see his web site: http://www.drdino.com.
JCSM now does regular mailings! If you are getting rid of your email or know someone who wants the devotions, but doesn't have email, please give us their address and we'll send them the devotions. If you don't have internet access, but want to read a certain web page or Bible lesson, let us know. We can copy and paste something into an email message for you. If you have internet access and need a great, online, study Bible, go here: www.biblestudytools.net. I recommend using either the King James Version or the New King James Version Bible.
JCSM operates in Oceanside, California, United States. This ministry has been certified by the Evangelical Ministries to New Religions. EMNR is an accrediting body for sound, Christian ministries that preach the true gospel of God to people in other religions and cults. Their web site is located here: http://www.emnr.org.
