This is the Weekly Devotional Message from

Over 2000 Links!

Hello!

We pray that you're having a great week!

There have been some problems with our cable modem and mailing system, lately. Please pray that we get these fixed. Because of these problems, the devotions haven't been reaching every recipient. We are trying to fix these things and in the meantime, if you ever don't receive the weekly devotions, please go to our web site and read them. You can find them by clicking "Devotionals".

In the last two weeks, we've sent the gospel to nearly 100,000 people! Praise the Lord. Please pray for JCSM as we continue sharing the good news. We are always fighting against the spiritual forces that don't want the gospel out. Nonetheless, we will fight the good fight and keep giving others the gospel that will save them.

Would you like to hear some encouraging music? I've recorded many, great songs with my guitar, drum machine, effects pedal and voice! Several of my worship and original songs are on the web and you can freely download them here: http://listeningroom.lycos.com/fan/bands/freefood/Band.html.

God bless you as you grow in our Lord and Savior! We pray that you draw close to Him and consume His Word. God is good, all the time. All the time, God is good!

An interesting JCSM link: The Institute for Creation Research (ICR) is an awesome place. They have documented the creation account in great detail. In addition to their museum and research, they also have a school. The following link will show you some pictures I saw on my trip there and will explain their museum and school: http://www.jcsm.org/MISC/ICR.htm.

Are you receiving about twelve pages with this message? If this message is truncated, and perhaps you're only receiving half of it, you can always find these devotions on our web site! Simply go here: http://devos.jcsm.org. Plus, if www.jcsm.org isn't working, please try www.jcsm.net.

This is your ministry, so please feel free to link to JCSM and forward these devotions to your friends and family. On the JCSM website, there are over 2000 links (pictures, midis, Bible lessons, humor, proverbial stories, links, devotions, poetry, prayer journals and much more!) and it has registered over 63,000 hits!

Would you like to support God's work on the web? If this ministry has touched you in a special way, please pray and consider sending a gift to JCSM. You can join us in our vision to reach people on the web with the good news! Please email me for more information.

Welcome to the new recipients of this message! Here are the devotions, challenge, moment of introspection, the Bible word of the week and the quotations for the week. Have a fantastic week and God bless you!

Love in Christ,

Jason J. Gastrich

The Weekly Devotional Message

Day 1: "Abba Father! (Daddy!)"

Mark 14:36 "And He said, 'Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will.'"

Romans 8:15 "For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, 'Abba, Father.'"

Galatians 4:6 "And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, 'Abba, Father!'"

Prayer: "Thank you for being our loving Father! Thank you for wanting us to come to you like a child in need. Praise You for being worthy. Bless us and make us like You, Lord. Thank you for listening to us and helping us. Help us to be humble and ask You for direction. Give us great wisdom and courage to do your will. Thank you for speaking to us in a way that we can understand and follow. Thank you for your awesome Word! There's no other God like You. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Day 2: "Blessings For Obedience"

John 13:17 "If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them."

1 Samuel 15:22 "So Samuel said: 'Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams."

Deuteronomy 11:26-28 "Behold, I set before you today a blessing and a curse: the blessing, if you obey the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you today; and the curse, if you do not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside from the way which I command you today, to go after other gods which you have not known."

Prayer: "Thank you for blessing us when we are obedient to You. Thank you for making the things that are commanded by You things that are beneficial to us. Help us understand You and your ways. Thank you for blessing us in perfect ways. Help us to have pure motives. Let us do things because we love You and love others; not simply for blessings or rewards. Thank you for keeping track of our good deeds. Thank you for rewarding us and blessing us, even when we have moments of sin. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Day 3: "Resist"

1 Peter 5:8, 9 "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world."

James 4:7, 8 "Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded."

1 John 4:4b "He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world."

James 1:13-15 "Let no one say when he is tempted, 'I am tempted by God'; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death."

Prayer: "Bless us, increase our ministry, lay your hands on us and keep us from evil! Thank you for helping us resist the devil. Praise You for having more power than him. Thank you for giving us your Holy Spirit. Thank you for giving us wisdom and courage. Please give us more, Lord. Help us to know when to flee and when to fight. Thank you for overcoming the world! Remind us that He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world. To You be all the glory! In Jesus' name, Amen."

Day 4: "What Disciples Do"

John 8:31, 32 "Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

John 13:35 "By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."

John 15:5, 8 "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples."

Prayer: "Thank you for showing us what disciples do. Thank you for wanting us to love others. Help us understand the power of love. Help us understand what your love is. Thank you for accepting our love, even though it is only a fraction of yours. Increase our love for You and increase our love for others. Let us be the disciples You would have us be. Forgive us for being weak and spiritually bankrupt. Let us cleanse our ways, purify ourselves and fill our hearts with You. Thank you for being the best thing in the world. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Day 5: "A Life of Love"

Proverb 15:17 "Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, Than a fatted calf with hatred."

Ephesians 3:14-19 "For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height--to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God."

Ephesians 5:2 "And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma."

Proverb 10:12 "Hatred stirs up strife, But love covers all sins."

1 John 4:7, 8 "Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love."

1 Peter 1:22, 23 "Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever."

Prayer: "Thank you that love never gets old! Thank you for the supernatural draw toward supernatural love. Thank you for the mesmerizing power of someone who loves you with godly love. Let us be lovers of God and help us to glorify You through our love for others. Thank you for holding our hand, Lord. Thank you for making us more mature as we grow in You, read your Word, worship You, pray and do your will. Forgive us for our sins. Thank you for loving us enough to come to Earth and die for us! Thank you for your eternal sacrifice, forgiveness and salvation! In Jesus' name, Amen."

Day 6: "Which Side Are You On?"

Joshua 24:15 "And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."

Matthew 6:24 "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon."

1 John 2:15 "Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him."

Matthew 12:30 "He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad."

Prayer: "Thank you for giving us a choice. Thank you for making the right choice very obvious. Help us to choose You in word and in deed. Thank you for being on the right team and loving us enough to have us on your side. Forgive us for our sins. Forgive us for siding with the enemy and protecting our sins. Forgive us for chaining ourselves to our rotting desires. Lift us up, Lord. Thank you for demanding that we choose either You or the world. Remind us that not making a decision is actually making a decision for the world and not for You. Thank you for being a tremendous source of pure, patient love! In Jesus' name, Amen."

Day 7: "Celebrate!"

Psalm 5:11 "But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; Let those also who love Your name Be joyful in You."

Psalm 9:2 "I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High."

Psalm 13:5, 6 "But I have trusted in Your mercy; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation. I will sing to the LORD, Because He has dealt bountifully with me."

Prayer: "Thank you for wanting us to celebrate! Thank you for giving us awesome, indescribable joy! Bless us and remove our worries and fears. Help us to be joyful and celebrate. Thank you for giving us great things. Thank you for taking from us the things that we do not need. Help us to let go of the things You want us to drop. Thank you for giving us eternal life! Help us to understand the gravity and reality of eternal life in Heaven with You! Forgive us for being less than excited. Let us see the devil's ways and fight them with the truth of your Word. Remind us that the battle has been won and we will be home, soon. Thank you for this brief life on Earth. Help us to see things like You do and continually find reasons to rejoice. Thank you for giving us the fruits of your Spirit. Thanks for comforting us and giving us intangible things. To You be all the glory, honor and praise, forever and ever. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Challenge

Be faithful with your time, tithe and talents.

A Moment of Introspection

Out of all the minutes in a day, how many do you devote to God?

The Bible Word of the Week

incorruption: the quality or state of being free from physical decay

The Quotations of the Week

What causes you to feel anxious, fearful or discouraged?

Remember that God faithfully loves you, faithfully cares for you and faithfully provides for you!

Sometimes, even in pop culture, we can hear ancient truths.

God uses suffering for His divine purposes.

God doesn't waste anything.

The ancient prophets wanted to experience Jesus Christ's presence and glory on the Earth, but they didn't because it was meant for us.

Since we have the Holy Spirit, we will behave differently than before.

Pray that you will endure when the heat in your life is turned up.

As we let go of our pride, God manifests the fruits of His Spirit in us.

We are co-laborers with Christ.

Incorruption has visited corruption.

Even though humans are prone to making mistakes, God loves us.

The only way big buildings can stand is by having deep, strong foundations.

Where can you find supreme truth?

Out of all the minutes in a day, how many do you devote to God?

Consider setting your alarm earlier, tomorrow, so you can spend time praying and reading God's Word.

Pure, undefiled religion causes one to love others.

Everyone has a soul, but not everyone has a Spirit.

Jesus' life was a practical manifestation of His teaching.

We serve many things and don't even realize it.

If you can give up something for a week, it should tell you something.

The only thing you should have to have each day is God.

Fasting regularly helps you break strongholds in your life.

When your flesh tells you to do something, you should be able to tell it "no".

You have the right and responsibility to choose your master.

Your master will either be God or something else.

God is the only thing or person on His side of the fence.

My job isn't to do good works all the time; it's to obey God.

There's nothing wrong with making money, but if it's your God, then there's a huge problem.

Whatever you choose to be your God will control you.

When you are giving your life to God, you are telling Him that you have confidence in Him.

If you are committed to God five days a week, it is no commitment at all because God demands total submission to Him.

Our calendar and wallet reflect our true priorities.

No test of our true character is more conclusive than how we spend our time and money.

God doesn't promise the righteous lots of earthly things.

Whether you have $5 or $5,000,000, God has entrusted you with your money (and everything else).

God's will is not known by possessions.

God has given us talents for specific reasons. We need to use them for Him and His glory.

Ask God how to use your talents and He will show you.

If you are faithful to Him, God will give you opportunities.

To think you have to give everything away, all the time, is exaggerating the role of sacrificial giving.

If everyone gave everything away, nobody would have anything.

Poverty isn't godliness.

Wealth isn't simply a sign of God's approval.

Thinking righteousness equals wealth produces guilt.

Don't go to church and simply pray for nice things.

Tithing and giving are initiated by God. Seed planting is initiated by humans.

Tithing deals with what you have and seed planting deals with what you want.

Do you see your situations and relationships as blessings?

Don't let a multitude of things make you ungrateful. Thank God for your blessings!

Don't take all the credit for your prosperity.

Don't depend on prosperity.

Don't forget that riches make wings and fly away.

Are you relying on riches for happiness or security?

Your source of happiness is your relationship with Jesus Christ.

The poor and the rich are both unhappy without Christ. Both are happy with Him, though.

If you're not faithful with the small gifts God gives you, you won't be faithful with the large ones, either.

Christians should be getting to work early, working hard all day and leaving work late.

Be like God and say what you will do, do it and evaluate what you've done.

Don't expect a huge miracles if you are not doing anything or if the things you are doing are not correlating with God's Word.

These quotes came from God, me, the Inspirational Study Bible (with Max Lucado), Chuck Adler and Miles McPhearson.

These quotes can be used for sanctification and fun. Most of them are directly based on scripture and scriptural principles. Some of my quotes are humorous or rhetorical. Some are written from sermons and Bible studies. Others are lyrics from songs. If you'd like me to go into more detail on any of them, please email me.

Like most verses in the Bible, they can be debated. To use what I've written in the most beneficial way, try and trace them back to the scriptures and apply the true principles to your life in a meaningful way! Please don't sell my quotes or publish them for profit. If English is not your first language, you may not understand some of the quotes. I'm sorry, but some of them are English metaphors and deal with multiple word meanings. God bless you all!

Please make a commitment to pray for this ministry. As every believer is tempted and tried, this ministry faces trials also. God has blessed me, JCSM and the people who have been reached! Unfortunately, the enemy knows this and spiritual warfare is the result. Please at least pray that the devotions continue to be sent religiously, the web pages stay on the www and the subscribers are blessed, sanctified and protected from evil. Thank you very much in advance!

Do you want to help people receive the good news? We share the gospel over 2.5 million times each year! Plus, we're in the process of emailing the gospel to over 34 million people! Please join us in the great commission. We're reaching new people every day with God's awesome Word! If God has blessed you and you wish to send a love offering to me and my ministry, please email me and I'll give you our mailing address.

You can join our vision and help this ministry! Your donations will keep these ministries running and further our visions for evangelism. Hundreds of web pages have been created to lead people to the Lord. Frequently, we make new ones and they are used to bring more and more people into a closer relationship with Jesus Christ. We're certain there will be more ways to reach people in the future.

Along with getting support, we also give support! JCSM regularly gives to churches and needy people. Another function of this ministry is to do counseling. We are always answering questions about life, the Lord and everything in between. Lastly, we do a lot of research on religious topics on the internet and library. You will definitely see the results of our hard work and your loving support, in the web pages, and in the weekly devotions!

For more about me and my service history, go to http://resume.jcsm.org. For what I do, my ministries and giving, go to http://vision.jcsm.org.

If you have received these devotions from someone other than JCSM, please email us and we will send them to you, personally, each week. Don't worry. We don't send forwards or any other junk mail. Plus, we refrain from giving your name to anyone.

The devotions are sent on Saturday and Sunday nights. The gospel is sent on the 11th of every month and the monthly newsletter is sent on the 20th. These are the only messages we send, however, please email me us you wish to be removed from this list.

If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, please email me! I would love to share the gospel with you. The Bible is very straightforward when it speaks about Heaven, Hell and eternal life. If there is any doubt that you are going to Heaven when you die, please let me know today!

Are you having trouble in life and need someone to talk to? You can call the youth crisis hotline at 1-800-HIT-HOME, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Their motto is "help, not hassle". YDI pays for these calls and has helped over 1 million people! They are also looking for people to answer calls. Their web site is at www.1800hithome.com.

Would you like to feed starving people by simply clicking a button and paying absolutely nothing? Sponsors pay to donate food to hungry people all over the world. I click these nearly every day. It takes about 10 seconds and it donates food to needy people! Go here: www.stopthehunger.com and here www.thehungersite.com.

Go here to donate free Bibles to people: www.TheBibleSite.org. If you want to join a Christian organization that helps feed and clothe poor people, check into World Vision. You can see their site here: www.worldvision.com. Compassion International is another, great Christian organization that rivals World Vision. You can visit them here: www.ci.org.

Do you believe in evolution? If you can prove that the evolution of species has happened, Dr. Dino will give you $250,000. I know Kent Hovind and this is a legitimate offer. For more information, please see his web site: http://www.drdino.com.

JCSM now does regular mailings! If you are getting rid of your email or know someone who wants the devotions, but doesn't have email, please give us their address and we'll send them the devotions. If you don't have internet access, but want to read a certain web page or Bible lesson, let us know. We can copy and paste something into an email message for you. If you have internet access and need a great, online, study Bible, go here: www.biblestudytools.net. I recommend using either the King James Version or the New King James Version Bible.

JCSM operates in Oceanside, California, United States. This ministry has been certified by the Evangelical Ministries to New Religions. EMNR is an accrediting body for sound, Christian ministries that preach the true gospel of God to people in other religions and cults. Their web site is located here: http://www.emnr.org.

Since April of 1997, the weekly devotional message has been sent on the internet. This message currently reaches over 39,000 people in 99 countries. To read a list of these countries, go here: http://www.jcsm.org/misc/countries.htm. To read the archived devotions online, go here: http://devos.jcsm.org.
