Over 2000 Links!
Hello!
If you don't want any encouragement, then don't read this message! However, if you want to be edified and pointed to our Savior, please continue! His love is waiting for you.
There are now over 2000 links on our web site! Have you been there, lately? If not, please take a minute to surf the JCSM wave! There are always new and exciting things being added to the web through our web site.
Would you like to see some pictures from our trip to Israel? We've uploaded 200 unique pictures from the Holy Land! We have nearly 300 more to add, so visit this site and check back soon! Link: http://www.jcsm.org/Israel2001/IsraelPicturesList.htm
For everyone who makes a donation to JCSM this month, we're sending them a free cd with 500 pictures from Israel! These are unique pictures and most were taken from our digital camera. You can freely view them on our site, but if you want your very own cd and if you want to send a seed offering to JCSM, we'll give you this gift. For those wanting to invest in Heaven and receive more blessings in this life, our address is at the bottom of this message.
Please email us if you are receiving this message in error. We have a large, growing mailing list, so occasionally someone gets added to our list who does not want the devotions. If this is you, please let us know and we'll remove you immediately.
Are you facing depression? Have you had several days without any relief or happiness? If so, please write me and I'll pray for you.
God bless you as you walk with God! Jesus loves you and He's never going to leave you. Keep the faith and fight the good fight. The end is in sight and we're going to have a glorious reward! I pray you persevere and run the race to win.
An interesting JCSM link: The Devil's "Beastitudes". These are the things Satan is probably thinking about people that don't take him or God seriously. I received this "proverbial story" four years ago, but since a speaker at our church mentioned it, I thought I'd pass it on. Link: http://www.jcsm.org/ProverbialStories/beastitudes.htm
Are you receiving about twelve pages with this message? If this message is truncated, and perhaps you're only receiving half of it, you can always find these devotions on our web site! Simply go here: http://devos.jcsm.org. Plus, if www.jcsm.org isn't working, please try www.jcsm.net.
This is your ministry, so please feel free to link to JCSM and forward these devotions to your friends and family. On the JCSM website, there are over 2000 links (pictures, midis, Bible lessons, humor, proverbial stories, links, devotions, poetry, prayer journals and much more!) and it has registered over 62,000 hits!
Would you like to support God's work on the web? If this ministry has touched you in a special way, please pray and consider sending a gift to JCSM. You can join us in our vision to reach people on the web with the good news! Please email me or see our address below.
Welcome to the new recipients of this message! Here are the devotions, challenge, moment of introspection, the Bible word of the week and the quotations for the week. Have a fantastic week and God bless you!
Love in Christ,

The Weekly Devotional Message
Day 1: "What Can Love Do?"
1 Peter 4:8 "And above all things have fervent love for one another, for 'love will cover a multitude of sins.'"
John 13:35 "By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
Proverb 10:12 "Hatred stirs up strife, But love covers all sins."
John 15:13 "Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends."
Psalm 147:3 "He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds."
Isaiah 61:1 "The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;"
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 "Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing."
Prayer: "Thank you for your love, Lord. Let us love others like You do. Thank you for the supernatural love that You give and work through us. Help us to give to others and not expect things in return. Help us to love others simply because You have commanded us to do so. Praise You for being our perfect example of love! As much as we don't understand it, we praise You because You love the ones that deserve death. Thank you for your grace and mercy. Thank you for spreading your love all over the world. Thank you for saving us and forgiving us of our sins! In Jesus' name, Amen."
Day 2: "God Has Revealed Himself"
Psalm 19:7-10 "The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple; The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes; The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, Yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb."
John 9:3 "Jesus answered, 'Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him.'"
Romans 1:17, 20 "For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, 'The just shall live by faith.' For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse."
1 Corinthians 2:9, 10 "But as it is written: 'Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.' But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God."
1 John 3:2 "Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is."
2 Timothy 1:8-10 "Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God, who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began, but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel."
Prayer: "Thank you for revealing yourself to us, Lord! Thank you for using several ways to show yourself to the world. Help us to see You and understand You. Forgive us for being blind to things that are directly in front of us. Lift us up. Let us touch You and be like You, Lord. Thank you for sending Jesus Christ to show us the truth. Thank you for the Bible and how it lights our path. Praise You for the way You created nature. When we see what You have made, remind us that You are an awesome God. In Jesus' name, Amen."
Day 3: "Let Your Light Shine"
Ecclesiastes 2:13 "Then I saw that wisdom excels folly As light excels darkness."
Psalm 119:105 "Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path."
Matthew 5:16 "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven."
2 Corinthians 4:6 "For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ."
Luke 8:16-18 "No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a vessel or puts it under a bed, but sets it on a lampstand, that those who enter may see the light. For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light. Therefore take heed how you hear. For whoever has, to him more will be given; and whoever does not have, even what he seems to have will be taken from him."
Psalm 119:130 "The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple."
Psalm 18:28 "For You will light my lamp; The LORD my God will enlighten my darkness."
Psalm 112:4 "Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness; He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous."
Psalm 97:11 "Light is sown for the righteous, And gladness for the upright in heart."
Matthew 4:16 "The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, And upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death Light has dawned."
Prayer: "Thank you for wanting us to shine! Let us analyze ourselves and see if we are truly shining brightly. Forgive us for being satisfied with a dim countenance. Help us to repent and run with You. Let us shine the light of the Lord into all the world! Thank you for shining into our hearts and removing the darkness that was within us. Praise You for the awesome light of your Word! Help us to read it and notice how it brightens our life, our faces and our burdens. Thank you for being supernaturally true and correct. Remind us of our chains and how our chains are gone because of your Word! In Jesus' name, Amen."
Day 4: "Rebuke the Devil in Jesus' Name"
Jude 1:9 "Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, 'The Lord rebuke you!'"
James 4:7 "Speak these things, exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you."
Psalm 97:10 "You who love the LORD, hate evil! He preserves the souls of His saints; He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked."
Ephesians 6:11-13 "Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand."
Hebrews 13:6 "So we may boldly say: 'The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?'"
1 John 3:8 "He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil."
Prayer: "Thank you for wanting us to overcome evil or flee from it. Help us know when to wage war and when to run. Thank you for being faithful to us. Remove our fear and lift our heads. Remind us that there is absolutely no reason to fear because You are by our side. Give us the courage to rebuke the devil in your name. Thank you for giving us the Holy Spirit. Remind us that You are much stronger than the devil. Thank you for creating all things and knowing all things! Help us to stand on the promises in your Word and use your supernatural power to break the chains of evil. Show us what we have. Give us a glimpse of the unfathomable power that is inside You and your Word. Forgive us for not using it more, not seeking You more and not understand what is available to us. In Jesus' name, Amen."
Day 5: "Rebuke the Believers' Evil Actions"
Luke 17:3, 4 "Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, 'I repent,' you shall forgive him."
1 Timothy 5:1 "Do not rebuke an older man, but exhort him as a father, younger men as brothers, older women as mothers, younger women as sisters, with all purity."
1 Timothy 5:20 "Those who are sinning rebuke in the presence of all, that the rest also may fear."
2 Timothy 4:2 "Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching."
Titus 2:15 "Speak these things, exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you."
Prayer: "Help us to be open to rebuke and ready for rebuke. Show us how to lovingly rebuke another believer in Christ. Please pave the way for these experiences and soften our hearts. Thank you for commanding perfection from us and hating sin with a passion. Help us to see things like You do. Give us a great love for You and for others. Help us understand how sin hurts people in very painful ways. Forgive us for our sins. Purify us. Let us desire a closer walk with You. Change our hearts and motives. Let us see You and know You. Praise You for your faithfulness. Give us boldness and courage to obey your command to rebuke a brother or sister in Christ when they sin. Let us do it as You would and when You would. In Jesus' name, Amen."
Day 6: "How is Your Spiritual Fitness?"
1 Timothy 4:8, 9 "For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come. This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance."
1 Corinthians 9:24-27 "Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified."
Hebrews 12:1, 2 "Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."
Prayer: "Thank you for reminding us to pay attention to our spiritual fitness. Help us to be more and more spiritually fit. Forgive us for our apathy. Forgive us for our complacency. Light a fire under us. Remind us that we have no time to waste. Show us how we have been, lately, and give us the strength to develop or continue good habits. Thank you for being faithful to us and giving us more than a breath of fresh air. You give us abundant life! Let us invest in eternity. Reveal to us what is temporary and fleeting and what is lasting and true. Thank you for giving us your Word and showing us the answers we need. Help us to eat spiritual food and deny junk food. In Jesus' name, Amen."
Day 7: "The Reality of Hell"
James 3:6 "And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell."
Luke 12:5 "But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him!"
Mark 9:43-47 "If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having two hands, to go to hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched; where 'Their worm does not die And the fire is not quenched.' And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life lame, rather than having two feet, to be cast into hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched; where 'Their worm does not die And the fire is not quenched.' And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire."
Prayer: "Thank you for the reality of Hell. Help us to understand that people who do not put their faith in You will be separated from You for eternity. Thank you for making Heaven, too. Let us share the good news with fervor because the unbelievers will be going to Hell. Thank you for being a merciful, yet just, holy and righteous God. Thank you for promising to put an end to evil one day. Thank you for making a place of torment for those who hate You and do not believe in You, even though the things you've made scream your name. Convert more people, Lord. Show them the truth. Open the hearts of the ones who have no God or a false god. Thank you for being real. Let more people taste and see that You are good. Thank you for being so worthy of our time and devotion, even if Hell was not real. Let us love others to You. In Jesus' name, Amen."
Challenge
Take a blank piece of paper and write "God is Faithful" on top and make a list of the times God has been faithful to you. Think and recall all the times God has been faithful in your life. If you think hard, you should be able to recall many times and it will be an awesome list.
Where you ever afraid and asked God to remove your fear and He did? Where you ever in need of food or money and God provided for you? Where you ever in danger and God protected you? Make a list and save it! It will remind you of the reality of God and His love for you.
God bless you as you meet this week's challenge!
A Moment of Introspection
How is your spiritual fitness? What steps are you taking to be spiritually fit? What are your spiritual goals? What steps are you taking to reach them?
The Bible Word of the Week
rebuke: to reprimand, an expression of strong disapproval
The Quotations of the Week
Evaluate your spiritual fitness.
The world is not what it seems.
God wants us to live our lives for God like we are driving on the Auto Bonn.
It takes work to be spiritually fit.
Don't put faith in your physical body.
To get help, one must be honest with the helper.
Do you have spiritual goals? If not, make some.
Spiritual exercise prepares us for our spiritual battles.
Some of us are "cubic zirconia" Christians.
The one thing that separates Christianity from all other religions is Jesus Christ coming to Earth as God in the flesh.
Our duty as a good servant of Jesus Christ is for us to share the gospel.
Jesus wasn't average and His sacrifice wasn't average.
When the windshield of your life is dirty, let God clean it with His love and forgiveness.
What do you do with your worries and frustrations?
Who do you turn to for advice?
Is God's Word a priority in your decision making?
Thank God for giving His Word to you for guidance.
Let all the areas of your life honor God.
Follow the faithful road.
God's rewards supersede the benefits of the wicked.
By recounting God's work in history, Christians can be encouraged to praise God for His trustworthiness.
Help instill a vision for service in the kingdom of God.
Whenever the people choose a leader without God's advice and command, the leader doesn't prosper like God's choice would.
Christ is the only intermediary needed for forgiveness of sins.
Be thankful for Christ's sacrifice which gives us direct access to God at all times.
Are you fully enjoying the privileges God has given you?
God pays attention to details and He wants us to do the same.
Religious rules should only be followed by people who have a sincere heart.
My unfaithfulness to God may be different than your unfaithfulness.
In order to truly know God, we must worship and obey Him.
Take time to study and understand the deeper things of God's Word.
Although His plan may not always be clear to us, we must follow.
When we follow God's guidance, we please Him.
Are you willing to adapt to God's will?
Ask God to make His plans for you clear and to move you toward His will for the future.
Go to bed and wake up facing God.
These quotes came from God, me, the Inspirational Study Bible (with Max Lucado), Mike Macintosh and Darren Carrington.
These quotes can be used for sanctification and fun. Most of them are directly based on scripture and scriptural principles. Some of my quotes are humorous or rhetorical. Some are written from sermons and Bible studies. Others are lyrics from songs. If you'd like me to go into more detail on any of them, please email me.
Like most verses in the Bible, they can be debated. To use what I've written in the most beneficial way, try and trace them back to the scriptures and apply the true principles to your life in a meaningful way! Please don't sell my quotes or publish them for profit. If English is not your first language, you may not understand some of the quotes. I'm sorry, but some of them are English metaphors and deal with multiple word meanings. God bless you all!
Please make a commitment to pray for this ministry. As every believer is tempted and tried, this ministry faces trials also. God has blessed me, JCSM and the people who have been reached! Unfortunately, the enemy knows this and spiritual warfare is the result. Please at least pray that the devotions continue to be sent religiously, the web pages stay on the www and the subscribers are blessed, sanctified and protected from evil. Thank you very much in advance!
Do you want to help people receive the good news? We share the gospel over 2.5 million times each year! Please join us in the great commission. We're reaching new people every day with God's awesome Word! If God has blessed you and you wish to send a love offering to me and my ministry, please send it here:

You can join our vision and help this ministry! Your donations will keep these ministries running and further our visions for evangelism. Hundreds of web pages have been created to lead people to the Lord. Frequently, we make new ones and they are used to bring more and more people into a closer relationship with Jesus Christ. We're certain there will be more ways to reach people in the future.
Along with getting support, we also give support! JCSM regularly gives to churches and needy people. Another function of this ministry is to do counseling. We are always answering questions about life, the Lord and everything in between. Lastly, we do a lot of research on religious topics on the internet and library. You will definitely see the results of our hard work and your loving support, in the web pages, and in the weekly devotions!
For more about me and my service history, go to http://resume.jcsm.org. For what I do, my ministries and giving, go to http://vision.jcsm.org.
If you have received these devotions from someone other than JCSM, please email us and we will send them to you, personally, each week. Don't worry. We don't send forwards or any other junk mail. Plus, we refrain from giving your name to anyone.
The devotions are sent on Saturday and Sunday nights. The gospel is sent on the 11th of every month and the monthly newsletter is sent on the 20th. These are the only messages we send, however, please email me us you wish to be removed from this list. If you prefer to receive the devotions in Spanish, send us a request because the devotions have been reaching the Spanish speaking community for over a year!
If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, please email me! I would love to share the gospel with you. The Bible is very straightforward when it speaks about Heaven, Hell and eternal life. If there is any doubt that you are going to Heaven when you die, please let me know today!
Are you having trouble in life and need someone to talk to? You can call the youth crisis hotline at 1-800-HIT-HOME, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Their motto is "help, not hassle". YDI pays for these calls and has helped over 1 million people! They are also looking for people to answer calls. Their web site is at www.1800hithome.com.
Would you like to feed starving people by simply clicking a button and paying absolutely nothing? Sponsors pay to donate food to hungry people all over the world. I click these nearly every day. It takes about 10 seconds and it donates food to needy people! Go here: www.stopthehunger.com and here www.thehungersite.com.
Go here to donate free Bibles to people: www.TheBibleSite.org. If you want to join a Christian organization that helps feed and clothe poor people, check into World Vision. You can see their site here: www.worldvision.com. Compassion International is another, great Christian organization that rivals World Vision. You can visit them here: www.ci.org.
Do you believe in evolution? If you can prove that the evolution of species has happened, Dr. Dino will give you $250,000. I know Kent Hovind and this is a legitimate offer. For more information, please see his web site: http://www.drdino.com.
JCSM now does regular mailings! If you are getting rid of your email or know someone who wants the devotions, but doesn't have email, please give us their address and we'll send them the devotions. If you don't have internet access, but want to read a certain web page or Bible lesson, let us know. We can copy and paste something into an email message for you. If you have internet access and need a great, online, study Bible, go here: www.biblestudytools.net. I recommend using either the King James Version or the New King James Version Bible.
JCSM operates in Oceanside, California, United States. This ministry has been certified by the Evangelical Ministries to New Religions. EMNR is an accrediting body for sound, Christian ministries that preach the true gospel of God to people in other religions and cults. Their web site is located here: http://www.emnr.org.
Since April of 1997, the weekly devotional message has been sent on the internet. This message currently reaches over 39,000 people in 99 countries.
