Do you need a Bible? We're trying to send Bibles to people all over the world. Please email me if you need one. However, make sure you check with your local church or book store, first. We want to supply Bibles to the people who have little or no access to them.

In one of the caves of Qumran, some ancient scrolls were found. On them were some identical scriptures that are in the Bible! All of Isaiah, 41 chapters of mostly complete Psalms and fragments of other books were found in these caves. Among these "Dead Sea Scrolls", there was a Psalm that has been deemed Psalm 151. Please pray against internet porn. It's amazing how the devil has tried to infiltrate the internet with evil. Sometimes, even porn filters don't fix this problem. We need God's intervention.

The World Series begins on Saturday! Baseball fans will enjoy watching the Arizona Diamondbacks battle the New York Yankees at 4:30pm PST!

As you may know, the United States is dropping food in Afghanistan. Please pray that this food isn't tampered with and reaches the hungry Afghan civilians. There are rumors that the Taliban may poison the food! God can protect it, though.

Amidst the September 11^th tragedy, there is a positive note that needs to be heard. There have been over 100,000 Bibles sold since the 11^th! Praise the Lord. I hope the Bible remains the best selling book of all time.

Halloween is Wednesday. What are you going to do? Let's pray that there's not any acts of terrorism. Let's also pray that Christians abstain from wearing sinister costumes and decide to praise God on this day.

My Dad used to tell me, "Don't say something if you don't know what it means". This was great advice. In the same way, "Don't celebrate something if you don't know what it means".

The Weekly Devotional Message

Day 1: "Fret Not!"

Psalm 37:1 "Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity."

Psalm 37:7-9 "Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth."

Proverbs 24:19, 20 "Fret not thyself because of evil men, neither be thou envious at the wicked; For there shall be no reward to the evil man; the candle of the wicked shall be put out."

Prayer: "Dear Lord, help us to not be afraid. Lift us up and give us courage and strength. Thanks for taking our worries and fears away. Remind us that You are faithful. Praise You for never leaving us! Thank you for being true to all of the promises in your Word. Help us to understand You and the Bible more and more. Thank you for answering our prayers, Lord. Help us to pray to You in our time of need. Thank you for protecting us and helping us. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Day 2: "Will I Be Reincarnated?"

Hebrews 9:27 "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment."

Prayer: "Thank you for making our earthly death the beginning of our life in Heaven! Thank you for telling us the truth in your Word. Help the world to know You and what You have told us. Thank you for giving all peoples the gospel message through Adam and Even, then Noah. Make people recall the faith of their ancestors. Let people feel convicted when they say there is no God, worship their ancestors, plan on being reincarnated and worship false gods. Bring people to You and save their souls, Lord. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Day 3: "Deep and Wide!"

Ephesians 3:17b-18 "I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ."

Romans 11:33-36 "Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out! For who has known the mind of the LORD? Or who has become His counselor? Or who has first given to Him And it shall be repaid to him? For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen."

Prayer: "Thank you for being super deep and wide! Let us experience the depths of your love. Thank you for putting us on Earth and having us experience so many things that we'll never experience in Heaven. Help us to be content with our current life, but be even more excited about the future You have promised us. Thank you for blessing us with Christian friends (young and old). Bless them and lift them up. Give us more love for You and for others, Lord. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Day 4: "Filled By The Spirit"

Ephesians 5:18-20 "And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."

Psalm 23:5 "You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over."

Prayer: "Thank you for wanting us to be filled with your Spirit! Let us obey You very closely and walk with You. Praise You for the times when we are empowered by your awesome Spirit! Thank you for falling on us and giving us chills in our head, neck, shoulders and body. Let us lift our hands and voices to You, Lord! Praise You for giving us a Spirit that doesn't simply make us feel good, but a Spirit that makes us holy like You. Forgive us for our sinfulness. Let us be like You. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Day 5: "Pray and Lift Your Hands"

1 Timothy 2:8 "I want men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing."

Prayer: "Praise You for having us surrender to You! Thank you for being the One who can conquer us. Let us give everything to You. Praise You for being worthy of having our complete attention. Let us respect and love You with all of our heart. Thank You for accepting our love, even though it can be sporadic and inconsistent. Thank you for forgiving us in a supernatural way. Help us to forgive others like You do! You are an awesome God. Thank you for touching us and making our lives totally different! Give us the courage and desire to be obedient to You, so we can lift our hands in prayer and worship. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Day 6: "Sing A New Song!"

Psalm 144:9 "I will sing a new song to You, O God; On a harp of ten strings I will sing praises to You, The One who gives salvation to kings, Who delivers David His servant From the deadly sword."

Prayer: "Thank you for wanting us to sing a new song to You! Help us to desire and appreciate new songs. Forgive us for being upset at having to sing an unfamiliar song. Remind us that some songs we don't know can really touch us and other people. Thank you for sending people and musicians to us that have new songs for us to sing! Bless musicians and worship leaders. Increase our talents! Let us use them for your glory. Put a new song in our heart! In Jesus' name, Amen."

Day 7: "The Bible's Humor"

1 Kings 18:26, 27 "So they took the bull which was given them, and they prepared it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even till noon, saying, O Baal, hear us! But there was no voice; no one answered. Then they leaped about the altar which they had made. And so it was, at noon, that Elijah mocked them and said, Cry aloud, for he is a god; either he is meditating, or he is busy, or he is on a journey, or perhaps he is sleeping and must be awakened (a literal translation is 'perhaps he's using the bathroom')."

Numbers 22:28-30 "Then the LORD opened the mouth of the donkey, and she said to Balaam, What have I done to you, that you have struck me these three times? And Balaam said to the donkey, Because you have abused me. I wish there were a sword in my hand, for now I would kill you! So the donkey said to Balaam, Am I not your donkey on which you have ridden, ever since I became yours, to this day? Was I ever disposed to do this to you? And he said, No."

John 3:4 "Nicodemus said to Him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?"

Prayer: "Thank you for the humor in the Bible. Help us to see it and appreciate it. Thank you for being a God who loves us enough to make us laugh. Praise You. Thank you for giving us comedy and so many things in this life that are funny! Let us have a light heart, Lord. Remove our heavy burdens. Help the people who are suffering to rejoice. Thank you for always giving all people something to be happy about, even if that one thing is only You and your kingdom of Heaven. Turn our hearts and minds toward positive things. Give us unexplainable joy and help us to continually pray for this joy! You are our God and You give awesome things to your people. To You be all the glory, honor and praise, forever and ever! In Jesus' name, Amen."

A Moment of Introspection

Isaiah 59:19b "When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the LORD will lift up a standard against him."

One of the speakers at Promise Keepers mentioned the above verse to us. He said that he had talked to a Jewish scholar about it. The scholar said the pause or comma was in the wrong place. He said the Hebrew language lent itself to a different translation and it should read like this:

"When the enemy comes in, like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him."

The Spirit of the Lord is what comes in like a flood! The enemy is overthrown and God reigns supreme!

Don't worry about the enemy coming against you. Pray and cling to God. He will be there protecting you!

Refuse to accept lukewarm worship in your life.

Try worshiping God in your services in a way that you are as passionate or more passionate than the worship team.

If the Bible included every word the disciples said, they were an awfully quiet bunch.

God changes people through ministers.

Ministers are changed through ministry.

Praying in Jesus' name is praying to get something on His "credit", not our "credit".

Many Christians terribly misrepresent God.

Will the kingdom of Heaven know you and your deeds when you get there?

We're not worthy to get anything we ask for, but God gives us things because of His grace.

Don't qualify your prayers because God can do anything.

What God wants for you is better than what you want for you.

God is not your Father for any reason besides your saving faith in Him.

Before your salvation, the devil is your father.

If you only read your Bible at church, don't expect Him to answer your prayers.

You're not going to think biblically simply because you go to church and call yourself a Christian.

If you're an obedient child, God is going to hook you up.

Disobedient Christians don't get their prayers answered like obedient believers do.

The definition of loving God is obeying Him.

How much you love God can be measured by how much you obey Him.

God will give you anything you want; as long as it's what He wants.

Don't forget that God always knows what's best.

If you don't know what to do or say to some of the difficult people in your life, God still wants you to love them.

When you do God's will, by faith, He changes you.

Pray things that will bring God glory.

Do people know you're a Christian by your love, patience and kindness?

Honor God with His blessings.

The devil lies to you and says obedience brings curses.

You have to believe that Jesus can give you what you ask for.

If you want to increase your faith, read the Bible, study it and trust God.

God hears your cries.

If I get buried over a hamster, does it mean I evolved from a hamster?

I'm not perfect. I'm simply God's ambassador.

Some things that are easy for one person are much harder for others.

Let pictures remind you to pray for people.

Are you praying for the people you see?

I've sown the seed. Where it lands and if it grows is not my responsibility.

If they have the Holy Spirit inside of them, God will make them even more miserable than smoking and drinking will make them feel.

To use what I've written in the most beneficial way, try and trace them back to the scriptures and apply the true principles to your life in a meaningful way!
