Over 1500 Links!

Hello!

On your mark. Ready. Set. Read!

Two incredible web pages were made this week! First, would you like to see how God unveiled His plan for salvation before Jesus walked the Earth? His entire plan for salvation was revealed, in a hidden code, in the 5th chapter of Genesis. Check it out here: http://www.jcsm.org/biblelessons/Hidden.htm.

The next, great web site that was created is called "The Bible's Fulfilled, Messianic Prophecies". I've compiled 35 Old Testament prophecies that were fulfilled by Jesus Christ! To see them in extreme color, go this way: http://www.jcsm.org/biblelessons/FMP.htm.

The main web site received 131 hits on Thursday! This is an all-time record. Praise the Lord. Part of the reason we received so many hits is because we advertized in a local newspaper called The San Diego Reader.

This week, we're advertizing in the Reader and the Union-Tribune (the Union will be sent over 1 million times over the course of the three day ad). Let's pray that the web site reaches thousand of lost and discouraged people. If you have a local newspaper and want to advertize for JCSM (www.jcsm.org), please do! Email me if you want to give me details or need help paying for it. Time is short and we have to spread the good news as far as we can!

Please pray we accumulate 100,000 email addresses and 1,000,000 hits on the main page! These are big numbers, but God is a BIG God! He has already answered the smaller prayers I've prayed, so it's time to pray BIGGER!

If you need some Christian Music videos, look no further. There is a web site that plays them all day and night. You can find "Christian MTV" here: http://www.tvulive.com.

Did you see the cover of last week's Newsweek magazine? It read, "Jesus Rocks!" They did a cover story about the influence of Christian media (music, videos/movies, books, etc.). Apparently, Christian music holds 4.8% of the music industry. Maybe it will catch up with country music's 10%. Try and find a copy of the magazine. It features Audio Adrenaline, Newsboys, Pillar and some other interesting statistics and stuff.

I pray you are having an exciting time as you grow spiritually! God loves you more than you know! When you realize it, you'll be changed in an awesome way. I hope you are lifted up as you walk with God.

If you're a Skillet fan, listen up! They will be playing two, free shows in Southern California. Here are the details: July 21 - Skillet is performing at Calvary Chapel Bible College in Murrietta! 7pm - Free! 909-699-9207. July 22 - Skillet performs in Temecula at Calvary Chapel! 7pm - Free! 909-699-9207.

If you live in San Diego's North County, you should visit Calvary Chapel Oceanside this Friday. How's Kelly is playing a free concert from 7-9pm! Email me for details.

Have you ever heard of Half.com? Well, www.half.com is a place where you can buy used books! I have bought several from people on this site (it's eBay's sister site) and I've been very happy. I found The Magog Invasion, by Chuck Missler, which is out of stock and out of print! There is actually one more copy of this awesome book about the upcoming attack on Israel from the North (Russia). It's being sold for only $5 and it's in very good condition.

I almost forgot to mention my 40 day fast! Haha. It's going very well. Today is my 29th day. Thank you for your prayers and encouragement. I'm on the "homestretch", but please keep praying for me. I'm growing a lot, but there's still a long way to go before I know God like I need to know Him. I'll post more of my fasting journal next week.

Don't worry. I'm not starving or crying my eyes out. God is giving me incredible, spiritual energy. I haven't touched any food (I smelled some, though). I'm sticking to small amounts of juices and my 30/30/30 (30 minutes in prayer, worship and Bible reading). It's a winning combination! PTL.

Please pray for my wife's job situation. She is working at a Christian daycare and they are considering closing it. Let's pray it stays open or God provides a better job for her (there's no doubt that one of those two things will happen), however, she was getting attached to the kids at this daycare.

Are you receiving about twelve pages with this message? If this message is truncated, and perhaps you're only receiving half of it, you can always find these devotions on our web site! Simply go here: http://devos.jcsm.org.

Mark 16:17, 18 "And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."

Deuteronomy 2:11 "They were also regarded as giants, like the Anakim, but the Moabites call them Emim."

Genesis 10:8 "Cush begot Nimrod; he began to be a mighty one on the earth."

2 Thessalonians 2:3, 4 "Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God."

Prayer: "Thank you for the incredible stories of fallen angels having sex with women. Protect the women on Earth from this happening. Help us all to cling to You and accept You as Lord and Savior. Thank you for keeping this from happening to everyone that isn't a willing vessel. Reveal to us what is happening now and what will happen in the future. Help people understand who the "Son of Perdition" will be. Let more people in this world get saved. Help all the believers to know your Word and understand what is happening. Help us to understand the truth about the alien and abduction phenomenon we see and hear around us. Thank you for giving us such a complete book with your Word. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Day 7: "The Last Days"

2 Peter 3:3, 4 "Scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation."

2 Timothy 3:1-5 "But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!"

Acts 2:17-21 "'And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams. And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy. I will show wonders in heaven above And signs in the earth beneath: Blood and fire and vapor of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD. And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be saved."

Luke 17:26 "And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man."

Matthew 24:3-8 "Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age? And Jesus answered and said to them: Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, I am the Christ, and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows."

* Please read the rest of this chapter!

Prayer "Thank you for talking so much about the last days! Thank you for making the Bible the only prophetic book. Thank you for knowing the future and telling us about it. Thank you for being the ONLY God who knows the future. Not even Satan, the demons or the fallen angels know the future like You do! Praise You for being more awesome than all. Thank you for being stronger than all. Thank you for protecting us with your power and even giving it to us! Remind us that You are inside of us, making us strong. Thank you for wanting us to be victorious! Thank you for overcoming the world and wanting us to do the same. Remind us that You are faithful. Thank you for being closer than a brother. To You be all the glory, honor and praise, forever and ever! In Jesus' name, Amen."

Challenge

Spend some time, every day this week, singing some praise songs to God! Try and spend 30 minutes. If that's too much, you can try 2-3 songs or 15 minutes. You won't regret it! Just try it and God bless you as you attempt this week's challenge!

A Moment of Introspection

If God would give you anything you wanted, what would you request? Why?

Last Week's Bible Trivia AnswerAdam was 930 years old when he died. See Genesis 5:5.

An Excerpt from "The Revised and Expanded Answers Book" by Ken Ham, Jonathan Sarfati and Carl Wieland

A Water Vapor Canopy?

Dr. Joseph Dillow did much research into the idea of a blanket of water vapor surrounding the earth before the flood. In a modification of the canopy theory, Dr. Larry Vardiman suggested that much of the "water above" could have been stored in small ice particles distributed in equatorial rings around the earth similar to those around Venus.

The Genesis 7:11 reference to the windows of heaven being opened has been interpreted as the collapse of such a water vapor canopy, which somehow became unstable and fell as rain. Volcanic eruptions associated with the breaking up of the fountains of the great deep could have thrown dust into the water vapor canopy, causing the water vapor to nucleate on the dust particles and make rain.

Dillow, Vardiman, and others have suggested that the vapor canopy caused a greenhouse effect before the flood with a pleasant subtropical-to-temperate climate all around the globe, even at the poles where today there is ice. This would have caused the growth of lush vegetation on the land all around the globe. The discovery of coal seams in Antarctica containing vegetation that is not now found growing at the poles, but which obviously grew under warmer conditions, was taken as support for these ideas.

A vapor canopy would also affect the global wind systems. Also, the mountains were almost certainly not as high before the flood as they are today. In today's world, the major winds and high mountain ranges are a very important part of the water cycle that brings rain to the continents. Before the flood, however, these factors would have caused the weather systems to be different.

Vardiman recognized a major difficulty with the canopy theory. The best canopy model still gives an intolerably high temperature at the surface of the earth.

Rush and Vardiman have attempted a solution, but found that they had to drastically reduce the amount of water vapor in the canopy from a rain equivalent of 40 feet (12 m) to only 20 inches (0.5 m). Further modeling suggested that a maximum of 2 m (6.5 feet) of water could be held in such a canopy, even if all relevant factors were adjusted to the best possible values to maximize the amount of water stored. Such a reduced canopy would not significantly contribute to the 40 days and nights of rain at the beginning of the flood.

Many creation scientists are now either abandoning the water vapor canopy model or no longer see any need for such a concept, particularly if other reasonable mechanisms could have supplied the rain. In the catastrophic plate tectonics model for the flood, volcanic activity associated with the breaking up of the pre-flood ocean floor would have created a linear geyser (like a wall) of superheated steam from the ocean, causing intense global rain.

Nevertheless, whatever the source or mechanism, the scriptural statement above the windows of heaven opening is an apt description of global torrential rain.

A vapor canopy holding more than 7 feet (2 m) of rain would cause the earth's surface to be intolerably hot, so a vapor canopy could not have been a significant source of the flood waters.

These quotes came from God, me, the Inspirational Study Bible (with Max Lucado), Smith Wigglesworth, Oliver Wendell Holmes, Steve Wiggins, Bruce Wilkinson, C.S. Lewis, Dan Gordon, Mickey Stonier and Kyle Osland.

These quotes can be used for sanctification and fun. Most of them are directly based on scripture and scriptural principles. Some of my quotes are humorous or rhetorical. Some are written from sermons and Bible studies. Others are lyrics from songs. If you'd like me to go into more detail on any of them, please email me.

Like most verses in the Bible, they can be debated. To use what I've written in the most beneficial way, try and trace them back to the scriptures and apply the true principles to your life in a meaningful way! Please don't sell my quotes or publish them for profit. If English is not your first language, you may not understand some of the quotes. I'm sorry, but some of them are English metaphors and deal with multiple word meanings. God bless you all!

Please make a commitment to pray for this ministry. As every believer is tempted and tried, this ministry faces trials also. God has blessed me, JCSM and the people who have been reached! Unfortunately, the enemy knows this and spiritual warfare is the result. Please at least pray that the devotions continue to be sent religiously, the web pages stay on the www and the subscribers are blessed, sanctified and protected from evil. Thank you very much in advance!

Do you want to help people receive the good news? We have sent over 500,000 emails, encouraging people with God's Word! Please join us in the great commission. We're reaching new people every day with God's awesome Word! If God has blessed you and you wish to send a love offering to me and my ministry, please send it to the address below.

You can join our vision and help this ministry! Your donations will keep these ministries running and further our visions for evangelism. Hundreds of web pages have been created to lead people to the Lord. Frequently, we make new ones and they are used to bring more and more people into a closer relationship with Jesus Christ. We're certain there will be more ways to reach people in the future.

Along with getting support, we also give support! JCSM regularly gives to churches and needy people. Another function of this ministry is to do counseling. We are always answering questions about life, the Lord and everything in between. Lastly, we do a lot of research on religious topics on the internet and library. You will definitely see the results of our hard work and your loving support, in the web pages, and in the weekly devotions!

For more about me and my service history, go to http://resume.jcsm.org. For what I do, my ministries and giving, go to http://vision.jcsm.org.

If you have received these devotions from someone other than JCSM, please email us and we will send them to you, personally, each week. Don't worry. We don't send forwards or any other junk mail. Plus, we refrain from giving your name to anyone.

The devotions are sent on Monday nights. The gospel is sent on the 11th of every month and the monthly newsletter is sent on the 20th. These are the only messages we send, however, please email me us you wish to be removed from this list. If you prefer to receive the devotions in Spanish, send us a request because the devotions have been reaching the Spanish speaking community for over a year!

If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, please email me! I would love to share the gospel with you.
