Hello!

I hope you had a great week and weekend!

My week was busy, but my weekend was relaxing. I filled my week with Bible study, church, volleyball and surfing at the beach, working on the internet, playing the guitar and encouraging the body of Christ. Praise the Lord!

This week, many Christians from France were added to my list for devotions! In addition to the English speaking ones, there are 66 French people who primarily speak French. To reach these people, I want to get a language translation program, so they can read the devotions in their own language.

Needless to say, I feel led by God to do this. We've been sending the devotions in Spanish for over six months and I'm excited to see this ministry expanding, again! The Transparent Language Easy Translator V3.0, for Windows 98, is $49.99. It offers quick, easy translations in Spanish, French, German, English, Italian, Portuguese and Japanese! Would you like to join us in spreading the good news to other countries? Please pray about donating a translation program or the money to get one. I'm excited to reach other countries and I'll gladly spend the time translating the devotions each week, so our international brothers and sisters in Christ can be encouraged.

Do you have any visions or ideas for this internet ministry? Please pray and see what God tells you. I'd love to hear your thoughts. We are always growing and seeking new ways to reach more people with God's Word!

There's an important holiday on August 13th. It happens every year and it's one of the most exciting days of the year (for me). Have you guessed what it is, yet? It's my birthday! On Sunday, I'm turning 26. Where's my cane? Just kidding. I'm thankful for my parents and all my loving friends. God bless you all!

Do you want to see or hear new Christian music? You can do both! Just go here www.Watchitfirst.com or here www.Hearitfirst.com.

This week, I led a girl to Christ on the youth crisis hotline! It was awesome. I'm praying that she finds a great church and starts loving Christ and others. Please pray and spread the good news to the lost. People need Jesus and it only takes a couple minutes to share the gospel. If you'd like more information about how you can answer the youth crisis hotline, please read the paragraph at the bottom of this message.

Please pray for Patty as she goes into surgery, today. She's a kind, Christian friend and needs a God's protection and a speedy recovery.

Are you read to fast on August 21st? Please join us as we fast and pray for all the Christian ministers in the world. We'll meet online for some prayer, too. If you'd like to learn more about fasting, please go here: http://www.jcsm.org/biblelessons/fasting.htm

Are you a publisher or do you have information about getting a book published? I want to publish a book of quotes. Please email me if you have any information or leads.

This week, I updated an old Bible lesson. If you'd like to learn more about homosexuality, you can read the paper on my site. It's not condemning, but encouraging. It's here: http://www.jcsm.org/biblelessons/homosexuality.htm

Please visit my web page! There's over 1500 links (pictures, midis, Bible lessons, humor, proverbial stories, links, devotions, poetry, prayer journals and much more!) and it has registered over 33,800 hits!

If this ministry has touched you in a special way, please pray and consider sending a gift to Jesus Christ Saves Ministries. On the web, I'm encouraging the believers and sharing the gospel with unbelievers. I'm also doing counseling on a regular basis. As I do full-time ministry on the web, love and help others, I never charge them anything for my time or services.

You can become a Super Supporter of JCSM by sending only $5 a month. You'll be joining us in our vision to reach people on the web with the good news! Of course, a gift of any size will be appreciated! My address and more information is at the bottom of this message.

Welcome to the new screen names or recipients of this message! Here are the devotions, the moment of introspection, challenge and quotations for the week. Have a fantastic week and God bless you!

Love in Christ,

Jason J. Gastrich

The Weekly Devotional Message

Day 1: "On Our Knees"

Philippians 2:10-11 "At the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

1 Kings 8:54 "And so it was, when Solomon had finished praying all this prayer and supplication to the LORD, that he arose from before the altar of the LORD, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread up to heaven."

1 Kings 18:42 "So Ahab went up to eat and drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; then he bowed down on the ground, and put his face between his knees."

1 Kings 19:18 "Yet I have reserved seven thousand in Israel, all whose knees have not bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not kissed him."

Job 4:4 "Your words have upheld him who was stumbling, And you have strengthened the feeble knees;"

Daniel 6:10 "Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days."

Prayer: "Dear Lord, thank you for wanting us to bow to You. Let us do it figuratively and literally. Thank you for being so worthy of our devotion and praise! There is no other God like You! Thank you for answering our prayers! Thank you for doing awesome things for our eyes to see. Bless us and make us like You, Father. Thank you for loving us more than we can comprehend! Praise You for your faithfulness. Remind us that You are always here. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Day 2: "Fervent Love"

1 Peter 4:8 "And above all things have fervent love for one another, for 'love will cover a multitude of sins.'"

1 Peter 1:22 "Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart."

Mark 12:30-31 "And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these."

Prayer: "Thank you for giving us great love and demanding great love from us. Let us follow Your perfect model of love. Forgive us for falling short. Give us tangible ways that we can love You and others. Show us what true love is. Thank you for showing us how much You love us in Your Word! Give us unselfishness. Let us want the very best for others. Help us to put others' needs next to our own. Increase the love that we have for You and for others. Give us more faith in You, too. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Day 3: "The Way"

Acts 24:14 "But this I confess to you, that according to the Way which they call a sect, so I worship the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the Law and in the Prophets."

Acts 19:23 "And about that time there arose a great commotion about the Way."

Acts 19:9 "But when some were hardened and did not believe, but spoke evil of the Way before the multitude, he departed from them and withdrew the disciples, reasoning daily in the school of Tyrannus."

Hebrews 9:8 "The Holy Spirit indicating this, that the way into the Holiest of All was not yet made manifest while the first tabernacle was still standing."

John 14:5, 6 "Thomas said to Him, 'Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?' Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'"

Prayer: "Thank you for showing us the way, Lord! Praise You! Thank you for having the best way, despite the ways or ideas of this world. Let us follow You with all our heart. Thank you for showing us what to do. Let us memorize Your Word and be sensitive to your Holy Spirit. Thank you for making us people of "the Way." Thank you that we are on the way to Heaven! Remind us that we are Heaven bound. Help us see things in light of eternity. Remove our desires for foolish and fleeting things. Remind us how satisfying spiritual things are! In Jesus' name, Amen."

Day 4: "A Wise Person"

Proverb 13:20 "He who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will be destroyed."

Proverb 27:17 "As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend."

Proverb 1:5 "A wise man will hear and increase learning, And a man of understanding will attain wise counsel."

Proverb 21:22 "A wise man scales the city of the mighty, And brings down the trusted stronghold."

Proverb 24:5 "A wise man is strong, Yes, a man of knowledge increases strength;"

Proverb 15:2, 7 "The tongue of the wise uses knowledge rightly, But the mouth of fools pours forth foolishness. The lips of the wise disperse knowledge, But the heart of the fool does not do so."

Proverb 12:18 "There is one who speaks like the piercings of a sword, But the tongue of the wise promotes health."

Matthew 7:24 "Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock."

James 1:5 "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."

Prayer: "Thank you for teaching us about the wise. Give us great wisdom, Lord. Thank you for having awesome wisdom, far beyond our imagination. Let us see more and know more. Thank you for the beauty of wisdom. Let us compare what we think against Your Word and stay close to what You say. Help us to desire truth before being right in our own eyes. Praise You for being the truth! Thank you for never changing, too. Teach us your ways, Lord. Reveal yourself to us! In Jesus' name, Amen."

Day 5: "Don't Despise Discipline"

Proverb 9:8 "Do not correct a scoffer, lest he hate you; Rebuke a wise man, and he will love you."

Proverb 17:10 "Rebuke is more effective for a wise man Than a hundred blows on a fool."

Proverb 10:8 "The wise in heart will receive commands, But a prating fool will fall."

Proverb 21:11 "When the scoffer is punished, the simple is made wise; But when the wise is instructed, he receives knowledge."

Proverb 15:10 "Harsh discipline is for him who forsakes the way, And he who hates correction will die."

Luke 17:3 "Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him."

Prayer: "Thank you for the people You send to rebuke us. Let us discern if they are right and be thankful when they are. Thank you for helping us get back on the right path! Praise You! Thank you for the ones that can see when we are slipping when we cannot. Be a light unto our path, Lord. Show us what is good and what is evil. Remind us that making mistakes is part of life. Give us humility and meekness, Lord. Break us if we are on the road to destruction. Keep us close to You at all costs! To You be all the glory, honor and praise! In Jesus' name, Amen."

Day 6: "Don't Waste Your Talents"

Matthew 25:13-30 "Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming. For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey.

Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents. And likewise he who had received two gained two more also. But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord's money. After a long time the lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them.

So he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, 'Lord, you delivered to me five talents; look, I have gained five more talents besides them.' His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.' He also who had received two talents came and said, 'Lord, you delivered to me two talents; look, I have gained two more talents besides them.' His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.' "Then he who had received the one talent came and said, 'Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.' But his lord answered and said to him, 'You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed. So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest.

So take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents. For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'"

Prayer: "Thank you for blessing all of us with talents and spiritual gifts! Help us to use them to glorify You and edify others. Thank you for showing us what will happen if we waste time and neglect your gifts. Thank you for expecting us to do something besides sitting around and working for earthly treasures. Thank you for giving us a higher purpose and a higher calling! Let us never forget that we have been chosen to love You and others. Change our heart and cause us to use our gifts for Your good. Thank you for giving us earthly blessings and eternal rewards! In Jesus' name, Amen."

Day 7: "Stay Pure"

Matthew 5:8 "Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God."

1 Timothy 4:12 "Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity."

Proverb 22:11 "He who loves purity of heart And has grace on his lips, The king will be his friend."

James 4:8 "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded."

1 Peter 2:2, 3 "As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious."

2 Timothy 2:22 "Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart."

Prayer: "Thank you for wanting us to be pure, like You! Cleanse us, Lord. Make us white as snow. Thank you for giving us nothing but good things! Let our mind dwell on You and godliness. Remove lusts from our brains. Supernaturally change our desires. Thank you for being the perfect model of purity! Remind us that we can conquer sin! Help us to put a high value on purity, no matter what the media says. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Challenge

Go to a Bible study! Bring your Bible, a notebook and pen. Take notes. Sing some praise songs and pray.

Going to church is awesome, but we need to stay in God's Word during the week. We also need Christian fellowship. If you're not sure where you can find a Bible study, call your church. They may have one that's perfect for you!

Over the years, I've been extremely blessed by the Bible studies I've attended! I can't begin to express how awesome they've been. I've grown in my knowledge of God, sang worship songs around bonfires, met great Christians, found Christian mentors, had countless laughs and conversations, etc.

Going to Bible studies has led me to people I would have never met, otherwise. My life wouldn't be as rich without knowing the people that I know. God has blessings for us and many of these blessings are given to us at Bible studies.

God bless you as you meet this week's challenge!

A Moment of Introspection

"Find something else to skip before you skip your time in prayer or reading from the Bible."

Is it easy to get busy and forget to pray or read the Word? Do you find yourself erasing those things from your schedule before you remove other things?

God knows that we are busy people. He understands us and has had grace on us. However, there's no good excuse for skipping time in prayer and reading God's Word.

Find a way to incorporate prayer and reading the Bible into your daily routine. Perhaps praying in the morning is best for you. Set your alarm early and be determined to pray and read. Perhaps you would prefer praying on your lunch break. It's up to you when you do these things.

I pray when I wake up and my day goes better. I read the Bible before I go to bed (if I haven't read it during the day). I also pray before I go to bed. Sometimes I'm tempted to skip prayer or reading, but I try hard to be diligent.

God will reward us when we obey Him. He will make our life better, too. There will never be a substitute for praying or reading the Word. It may be hard at first, but please make an effort! God bless you!

Quotations

How do you react to Christians whose worship style is different than your own?

Remember God's gift of eternal life is free and for everybody, whatever the color, race or worship preference.

Be thankful that we don't have to be circumcised.

Jesus never said the word "grace," but He taught it and lived it.

Even if you haven't seen a miracle God has done for you in the past, don't doubt He could do one whenever He wishes.

To show grace is to extend favor or kindness to one who doesn't deserve it and can never earn it.

Love that goes upward is worship. Love that stoops is grace.

You will never be asked to pay back God's grace. You couldn't even if you tried.

Don't forget that after the Winters of your life, there will be Spring.

Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.

People don't want to die. They don't want to deal with the pain.

God is the only true heart-knower.

Tithing is a form of worshiping God.

What is keeping you from spreading the good news?

Don't worry about losing a friend by telling them about Christ. They need Him and will go to Hell without Him.

People who are immature should eventually crave and behave maturely.

Be prepared for the people you know to go to Hell if you will not witness to them.

God has given you awesome things. Won't you tell someone about them?

If you have denied Christ, remember how God forgave Peter for denying Him three times.

Do you see Jesus as a close friend or far away?

People can come to Christ because of you.

Set your mind on a course to become more dedicated to God.

Don't let excuses, a new crisis, or a busy day make you put your time with God on hold.

Find something else to skip before you skip your time in prayer or reading from the Bible.

Although God's wisdom is wiser than any other type of wisdom, some non-Christians will never accept it.

Do you crave to worship God?

God is ready to do a great work in your life. Are you ready to let Him?

God has His way of making us grow regardless of circumstances, but when He is forced to move without our cooperation, growth becomes haphazard and slower than it need be.

God's number one priority in my life is to change me.

Change is on God's agenda for me.

It's impossible to change in serious ways without God's help.

One reason God brings relationships into our lives is to change us.

We need someone who will inspire us to be what we could be.

The people who have effected your friends can effect you through them.

People seldom improve when they have no other model but themselves to copy.

One way to grow in holiness is to be around people more holy than ourselves.

No one can develop freely in this world and find a full life without feeling understood by at least one person.

Associate with people whose achievements exceed your own and model the growth you desire.

The books you read and the people you associate with will form the way you are in the future.

Some people live with a subtle dread that one day they will be discovered for who they really are and the world will be appalled.

Time doesn't forgive sin.

It is impossible to reach our potential on our own.

Be part of the body of Christ, not just a lone ranger for Him.

We need several different types of relationships.

We need people who believe in us before we believe in ourselves.

We are the block of marble and God is the chiseler.

It's a miracle how rubbing two sharp, godly people together can produce more godliness.

Having a lot of sin in our life and trying to have a successful relationship with God is like trying to get to know someone on the other side of the world via a phone line that has lots of static.

Some people are refreshing and energizing and others will make you feel worse.

You get better by simply being around certain people.

If we bring our requests to God, He will give us strength to live through any difficulty.

Let God know your feelings.

Share your prayer concerns with friends who will also pray for you.

One of the most powerful ways to change a person is to give them a model to follow.

Do you know how godly families act?

As we know Christ more, we discover the insignificance of worldly treasures.

Is your goal to know Christ and His power?

Tell God today that you treasure Him most of all.

By maintaining right priorities in life, you can withstand the fiery trials and temptations.

Blessed is the one who helps us find our strength in God when ours is gone.

Freedom has it's positives and negatives.

Don't get to a place where you won't let anyone tell you what to do.

You can become wise by listening to the rebukes of others.

Divorce can be the result of ignoring a life-giving rebuke.

Give your godly friends permission to bud into your life.

It's scary to get off track without realizing it.

I'm glad I got off that merry-go-round!

We need to make strategic relationships a priority.

Who you associate with will help determine your growth pattern.

Think about what causes you to grow.

Ready, set, grow!

Make relationships that help you grow a priority.

Don't waste too much time in relationships that aren't growth producing.

Are godly relationships a priority?

Relationships require a risk of vulnerability and rejection.

There are times when we must be persistent if we expect anything positive to happen.

Choose the legacy you want to leave. Be the kind of person God wants you to be, today.

If you aren't writing what God is telling you in the church services, how are you remembering or doing what He's saying?

Think, with your faith attached.

Don't be too critical of church services or leaders.

The power to change comes from God.

Magic words and formulas are never as powerful as Christ's power.

Occult practice is loathsome to God.

Let the power of the resurrected Christ give you freedom from any and all forms of occultism.

We must rejoice in the victories Jesus gives us and remain positive during persecution and suffering.

Paul could continue his ministry because of what Priscilla and Aquila were doing together in their business (tent making).

Ministries can flourish when people give to them.

There's nothing like being involved with a growing ministry!

Are you going forward in your relationship with God?

I used to get mail once a day. Now, I get mail all day and all night.

You won't have more time, in the future, than you have now.

True joy is not generated in your own mind or heart. It's not bought at a store. True joy is God's gift.

A gospel message without Jesus' death and resurrection is an incomplete message.

Spiritual gifts glorify God and build up the body of Christ. These gifts should never be misused, envied or divisive.

Is there a substitute for a home?

What is your priority: becoming like Christ or getting a chance to use your gifts?

Check your attitude if you're not wanting to build others and unify the body of Christ with your spiritual gifts.

If you're not sure about your spiritual gifts, ask the Lord what contribution you can make.

Teamwork is important whether on the job or in a ministry.

Taking the risk to minister to others can result in a world-wide impact.

What would you write in the last paragraph in the last letter you would ever write?

People who don't now what they're doing or where they're going can frustrate or get in the way of those who do.

Sometimes we'll need our friends to have more patience on us than we have.

We need to know our weakest points because our enemy sees them.

Jesus is not from Hollywood.

God wants to make you comfortable with all kinds of people (people of every color, too).

Sunday can be the most segregated day of the week.

God is bigger than any prejudice or ignorance.

If you let Him, God will introduce you to all kinds of wonderful people.

God will help you give the good news to people you would have never talked to before.

God is pleading with the world through us.

There's no black or white people. We're all different shades of brown.

Christ is your mediator between God and you; not a church, a person or an organization, but Christ alone.

Who are you to decide who you will love?

We have no excuse for neglecting to share the gospel with people, even if they sin openly.

We are always within God's reach.

A bear can kill a horse and decapitate a human with the swing of it's hand. Imagine what God's hand can do.

Imagine what your life would be like if you only hung out with people like you.

God opens the door to meet all kinds of new friends and all kinds of new music, foods, cultures, etc.

Express love to someone different than you.

Allow yourself to be put in a new situation to do God's work.

We are different people with the same needs.

Would you drop your net immediately and follow Christ?

Know when you are at your weakest point. Satan does.

I used to like the way I was, too.

What you are doing and what your church is doing are two different things.

If we obey God, we will be more likely to hear His voice when He tells us His will for our personal lives.

We cannot manipulate God through faith or prayer.

I'm better than I used to be because I know the One who will always be better than me.

People may doubt what you say, but they'll believe what you do.

These quotes came from God, me, the Inspirational Study Bible (with Max Lucado), Mike Yearly, Dennis Keating and Miles McPhearson.

These quotes can be used for sanctification and fun. Most of them are directly based on scripture and scriptural principles. Some of my quotes are humorous or rhetorical. Some are written from sermons and Bible studies. Others are lyrics from songs. Like most verses in the Bible, they can be debated. To use what I have written in the most beneficial way, try and trace them back to the scriptures they were derived from and apply the true principles to your life in a meaningful way! Please don't sell my quotes or publish them for profit. If English is not your first language, you may not understand some of the quotes. I'm sorry, but some of them are English metaphors and deal with multiple word meanings. God bless you all!

Please make a commitment to pray for this ministry. As every believer is tempted and tried, this ministry faces trials also. God has blessed me, JCSM and the people who have been reached! Unfortunately, the enemy knows this and spiritual warfare is the result. Please, at least pray that the devotions continue to be sent religiously, the web pages stay on the www and the subscribers are blessed, sanctified and protected from evil. Thank you very much in advance!

Do you want to help people receive the good news? I have sent nearly 500,000 emails, encouraging people with God's Word! Please join me in the great commission. I'm reaching new people every day with God's awesome Word! If God has blessed you and you wish to send a love offering to me and my ministry, please send it to the address below.

Dr. Jason Gastrich

You can help this ministry! Your donations will keep my ministries running and they further my visions for evangelism. The internet, the telephone (volunteering time for the Youth Crisis hotline), the guitar, singing and gospel tracts are some ways that I encourage people and lead them to Christ. I'm certain there will be more ways to reach people in the future. Along with getting support, I also give support! I regularly give to my church and frequently give to needy people. Lastly, I do a lot of research on religious topics on the internet and at the library. You will definitely see the results of my work on my web page and in the weekly messages!

For more about me and my service history, go to http://resume.jcsm.org. For what I do, my ministries and giving, go to http://vision.jcsm.org.

If you have received these devotions from someone other than I, please email me and I will send them to you, personally, each week. Don't worry, I don't send forwards or any other junk mail. I also refrain from giving your name to anyone. Also, email me if you wish to be removed from this list. If you prefer to receive the devotions in Spanish, please email me and I'll send you them each week in Spanish!

If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, please email me! I would love to share the gospel with you. The Bible is very straightforward when it speaks about Heaven, Hell and eternal life. If there is any doubt that you are going to Heaven when you die, please let me know today!

Are you having trouble in life? Do you need someone to talk to? You can call the youth crisis hotline at 1-800-HIT-HOME, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I'm currently volunteering time for this hotline. Our motto is "help, not hassle". We will listen to you and encourage you. If you are hurting and need someone to talk to, please feel free to call. YDI pays for these calls and has helped over 1 million people! They are also looking for people to answer calls. Their web site is at http://www.1800hithome.com.

Would you like to feed starving people by simply clicking a button and paying absolutely nothing? Sponsors pay to donate food to hungry people all over the world. I click this nearly every day. It takes about 10 seconds and it donates food to needy people! Go here: www.thehungersite.com

JCSM now does regular mailings! If you are getting rid of your email or know someone who wants the devotions, but doesn't have email, please give me their address and we'll send them the devotions. If you don't have internet access, but want to read a certain web page or Bible lesson, let me know. I could copy and paste something into an email message for you.

The weekly devotional message has been sent since April, of 1997. This message currently reaches 3438 people in 98 countries. To read a list of the countries, go here: http://www.jcsm.org/misc/countries.htm.
