Discipleship is a fun and exciting way to grow spiritually! Having someone to talk to about spiritual things is always an asset. If you are interested in learning more about online discipleship, please read further. Email us for more details or fill out this questionnaire and send it to us.
The responsibilities of a mentor include answering (and finding answers) to the protégé's questions, encouraging, challenging, listening, praying for the less mature believer and checking email at least on a weekly basis. I won't give you specific things you must do, but after learning about your protégé, you could challenge them to pray and memorize scripture. You could also ask them to worship God and witness to others about their faith. If they aren't going to church, you can encourage them to find one and some Christian friends. Email me if you want more ideas or assistance.
The responsibilities of a protégé include listening to the mentor, answering his/her questions, trying to meet the challenges he/she gives you, wanting to grow spiritually and checking email at least on a weekly basis. Feel free to ask your mentor questions that you have about life, the Bible or almost anything you feel comfortable asking. The purpose of this relationship is for you to grow and learn while having a more mature Christian to speak with during the good times and the bad.
The more sincere the relationship the better. Honesty is important too. Spiritual and personal growth will come when we are honest with one another and desire to draw closer to God through obedience. This will be an exciting and fruitful relationship and friendship.
